  • Effective from 26 March 2023, China Airlines flights departing/arriving from/to Chengdu will be operated at Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU) 2023年 03月 26日
    Effective 26 March 2023, China Airlines flights departing/arriving from/to Chengdu will be relocated from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport (CTU) to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport (TFU).
    Please double-check your departure/landing airport before your journey, thank you.

    Ticket handling guidelines for transport strike on 27 March 2023 in Germany
    ApplicationPassengers affected by the strike of the German transport industry on March 27, 2023, and the flight irregularity of CI061 on March 26 and CI062 on March 27.
    EligibilityPassengers holding CI valid tickets (Change regulations are applicable to Dynasty Flyer Program Award Ticket).
    Application DateMust file applications on/before 30JUN23.
    Changea. Within ticket validity, the fare/tax/booking service charge differences and reissue charge, including over-counter charge, shall be waived once provided that booking class/Carrier/Routing (City) remains unchanged, or any TWN-EUR v.v. flights operated by CI with the same RBD is booked. Flights operated by CI/AE shall not be rebooked to codeshare flights or other airlines flights. Ticket issued on CI website please contact the branch office or Call Center to change the booking.
    b. Within ticket validity, if the above item is not applicable, the difference of fare/tax caused by the change of the booking class/itinerary should be paid by the passenger. The booking service charge difference and reissue charge, including the over-counter charge, shall be waived once. 
    Refunda. For totally unused tickets: Full refund can be performed without imposing any refund charge/penalty.
    b. For partially used tickets: Refund charge can be waived.
    c. Chargeable seats and Prepaid excess baggage can be fully refunded.
    d. Original tickets issued via the CI website, call centers, and the branch offices can apply for a refund via CI Website.
    Group / Discount TicketsDiscount tickets do not apply to the principles above. For group tickets, please contact your travel agency.
    No Show FeeNo show fee shall be waived provided that passengers are denied boarding their flights at airports due to suspected infection of pneumonia or respiratory syndrome.

    Effective 26 March 2023, China Airlines flight CI201-202 arriving at /departing from Shanghai will be relocated from Pudong International Airport (PVG) to Hongqiao International Airport (SHA). Please double-check your landing /departure airport before your journey, thank you.
  • Starting from 31 March 2023, the Airport Service Charge for Transit & Transfer Passengers at both Kaohsiung International Airport (KHH) and Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) will be collected. 2023年 03月 02日
    Please be informed that, with effect for tickets issued and travel on/after 31 March 2023, a new transit/transfer tax of TWD500 will be imposed on all passengers transiting/transferring through TPE/KHH airport with the same tax code TW.
    In addition to newly issued tickets, in case of ticket reissuance against a totally unused ticket originally issued on/before 30 March 2023, passenger will have to pay subject TW tax on his/her reissued ticket if it includes a transfer or transit at TPE/KHH airport.
    All other current effective rules of TW tax shall remain the same for the above mentioned newly imposed TW tax.

    Starting from February 28, 2023, the passenger check-in counter of China Airlines at Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) will be transferred to Terminal 1 counter row G instead of row E at the terminal 2. Thank you for your attention.
