China Airlines 60th Anniversary: A Fresh Start China Airlines Celebrates 60 Years of Flying with 2020 Calendar on Beauty of Taiwan

China Airlines is producing a calendar on the theme of " The Spirit of China Airlines, the Colors of Taiwan " to mark its 60th anniversary in 2020. The calendar will pay homage to the Taiwanese roots of China Airlines by showcasing the varied beauty of sights throughout Taiwan. A different interpretation for every color will reflect the changing culture at China Airlines over the years.
 
The Ang Ku Kueh (Red Tortoise Cakes) on the front cover imprinted with the traditional Taiwanese god of wealth, children and longevity conveys to passengers the airline's sincere well wishes. The red color also symbolizes the passion for service at China Airlines that has endured even after 60 years, as well as the promise to carry on for another 60 years. Six distinctive scenic sights from Taiwan were chosen for the 2020 " The Spirit of China Airlines, the Colors of Taiwan.
 
January and February coincide with the festive Lunar New Year season so the color red from the cover returns here, with the Confucius Temple representing the historical buildings of Taiwan as well as China Airlines' commitment to its founding mission;
 
March and April are defined by the green of spring, and Laomei Green Reef, voted one of Taiwan's top eight insider destinations, was chosen to represent the vibrant greenery of Taiwan and the China Airlines spirit of growth;
 
May and June are the blue color of spring turning into summer. The distinctively shaped Guishan Island represents the natural ecology of Taiwan as well as the youthful vitality of China Airlines;
 
The color gold was chosen for the hot summer days of July and August. The Erliao Sunrise where the bamboo groves and clouds come together in an inkwash painting represents the new dawn of Taiwan and the wondrous journey awaiting China Airlines;
 
The yellow of early fall in September and October can be seen in the eaves of Xia-hai City God Temple, considered by many to be the guardian deity of Taiwan. Here it represents the many temples of Taiwan as well as China Airlines sincere well wishes for peace and safety;
 
Purple is the color of winter in November and December. The Tile-Paved Salt Fields that make up one of Taiwan's top 36 secret destinations represent the serenity of Taiwan's salt fields and the unparalleled comfort of every journey with China Airlines.
