China Airlines-Airbus A350 Joint Liveried Aircraft Takes Children on Dream Trip to Hong Kong for its First Flight

発表日: 2018年 10月 26日

China Airlines announced on 10/26 its plan for a charitable dream trip sponsored by Airbus. The new A350 China Airlines-Airbus joint liveried aircraft is now set to fly flight CI-641 from Taipei to Hong Kong carrying 25 youths and children from the Garden of Hope (GOH) Foundation and treat them to a 3-day overseas trip.

The GOH Foundation is a privately-run children's home in Taiwan. The mission of GOH is the promotion of social welfare through the provision of support services to disadvantaged women and children. China Airlines is now partnering with GOH to take the children on the first flight of the new aircraft and visit famous tourism destinations in Hong Kong such as Disneyland, the Peak, Hong Kong Museum of History, and 1881 Heritage (the former Marine Police Headquarters) to enrich their minds and experience local culture. As a dream come true, the children will also stay at Disney's magical Hollywood Hotel where they can explore the wonders of the world.

China Airlines has for more than a decade actively embraced its corporate social responsibilities by engaging in environmental protection and social welfare initiatives since 2007. In December 2012, China Airlines employees were encouraged to organize a volunteer team to regularly visit schools and teach children of all ages about aviation English and knowledge. Other charitable projects have included new year banquets, assisting the elderly, and beach clean-ups.

Once the China Airlines-Airbus joint liveried aircraft makes its first flight to Hong Kong, it will be flown on other routes such as Jakarta in Indonesia, Sydney in Australia, Vienna in Austria and London in the U.K. to showcase its fusion of Airbus' classic design with China Airlines' corporate identity colors around the world and draw the world's attention to Taiwan.
