Passengers holding mainland passports who depart from mainland China and transfer to a third place via Taiwan on China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines flights, please make sure that they have prepared valid departure documents (such as a Mainland Resident Travel Permit to Taiwan with a valid visa) before purchasing our company's tickets for inspection.
Passengers in the above situations who do not have a Mainland Resident Travel Permit with a valid visa can only depart from Nanchang/Chongqing/Kunming Airport and transfer to Taipei Taoyuan Airport or Kaohsiung Airport to a third place and must hold a valid ticket for the next leg of the trip.
Passengers departing from a third place and transferring via Taipei Taoyuan Airport or Kaohsiung Xiaogang Airport to return to the mainland are not subject to the aforementioned restrictions.
Airport transfer regulations: Taipei Taoyuan Airport: Transit passengers must book a flight ticket to a third destination and the transfer time must be within 24 hours. They can only stay in the international transit area to wait for transfer. Kaohsiung International Airport: Transit passengers must book a flight ticket to a third destination and the transit time is limited to flights on the same day (not later than 24:00 on the same day). They can only stay in the international transit area to wait for the transfer.
Reminder again: Passengers should confirm and prepare their valid travel documents with the immigration and border inspection authorities of the countries and regions involved in the itinerary. Article 14.1 of the Terms of Carriage of the Company states that it is not responsible for passengers who fail to obtain valid travel documents.
