Ticket Purchase

  1. Please read our Transportation Clauses, Baggage Policy, Special Assistance,and Disclaimer Clauses before purchasing your ticket. After choosing Fare and Booking Class, please do check the relevant information in Fare Notes, Flight Notes, etc.
  2. Rules and Regulations on the chart only apply on CI/AE operating flights. All other codeshare flights are excluded. Please refer to the link for Mileage Accumulation and Upgrade Awards.
  3. As per our fare policy, after the ticket was issued, changes of the flight booking or canceling the booking should be subject to additional processing fees and fare differences. If the inbound/outbound fare rules are different, the most restrictive rules shall apply. In case the ticket is not used or partially used, the unused taxes and fuel surcharge are refundable. The booking service charge is non-refundable.
  4. Children and infant discount is provided by all products, excluding Discount products.
  5. If you travel with Air Canada (AC) for your first segment, the regulation of free baggage allowance is currently two pieces for business travels(32KG/piece) and one piece for economy class travels(23KG/piece). The baggage rules/excess baggage rates of Air Canada (AC) should be applied for the entire journey on the same ticket.
  6. QYG is the generic code for all DB railway stations in Germany. Please visit DB check-in website to select your preferred actual train and departure/arrival time.
  7. You can use miles to pay your partial ticket fare. Please view Miles and Cash terms and conditions for more details.
  8. Please make sure you obtain visa for any countries of your visit or transit on your trip when necessary before complete your purchasing.
  9. Should you make any changes on your original itinerary within 3 hours prior to the scheduled departure time, it will become mandatory for you to pay the no show fee before embarking on your journey.

Passenger name should be booked in the same order as shown on the government-issued document in Roman alphabet (A-Z), and any space or special symbols should be deleted. Refer to Traveler Name Input Examples. Any name change after purchasing will require to purchase of a new ticket or ticket reissuance fee.

  • Seat Selection

    Online Seat selection is provided from 360 days to 50 hours prior to the flight schedule departure. Seat selection before 48 hours prior to the flight schedule separture please refer to Online Check-in.

    1.The seat map in the flow is a diagram of the seat layout only. Please refer to Seat Map:
    - For the A330 aircraft, seats 7A/K , 27A/K with Slide Container in front of seats and no extra legroom.
    - For the 777 aircraft , seats 54A/C, 70-72A/C, 70-72H/K and some A350 aircraft 40A/C, 40H/K, 60A/C are adjacent seats, and there is no extra space between the seats.
    - For the A321 aircraft, seats 48A/B/C/H/J/K and 49A/B/C/H/J/K cannot recline due to their design proximity to the cabin emergency exit.
    - For the B738 aircraft, seats 16A/B/C/H/J/K cannot recline due to their design proximity to the cabin emergency exit.

    2.If seat selection service for wheel chair to the cabin (WCHC), bassinet (BSCT) or Cabin Baggage (CBBG) is needed, please contact our customer service center or branch office during office hour. Do not change above seat through website

    3.Paragon, Emerald and Gold Card members of Dynasty Program are entitled to enjoy complimentary seat selection for specific seat zones when making reservations with membership numbers. If membership numbers are not input, please visit "Manage Booking" to input membership numbers before making seat selection.

    4.Whether selected seats are chargeable or not, seats will be reserved until 60 minutes prior to flight departure. Failing to complete check-in process will be lead to the cancellation of advanced seat selection. Seat Selection Fee is not refundable, except for "involuntary reasons" or "duplicated payment of itinerary & seat change". For more information, please refer to the Terms and Condition of Chargeable Seat.

    5.China Airlines/China Express Airlines reserves the right to designate passenger seats or reassign selected (purchased) seats based on operational and flight safety considerations. Additionally, seats for passengers with mobility impairments may be reserved to comply with regulations set forth by the United States Department of Transportation (US DOT). Please be reminded to comply with the regulations when bringing carry-on items on board.

    6.If your itinerary includes flights on other airlines, please do not select paid seats on others airlines to avoid ticket issuance failure.

    7.China Airlines reserves the rights to substitute alternate aircraft without notice.

  • Prepaid Excess Baggage
    Prepaid Excess Baggage should be completed 4 hours prior to flight departure. For other regulations please refer to Notice of Prepaid Excess Baggage.
  • Special Meal
    Special Meal should be completed 24hours prior to flight departure.Please read Allergy Notice.

  1. Your credit card issuer may charge the foreign transaction fees depending on your departure country/region and the currency. By clicking “Confirm to Pay", you've agreed to pay the fare amount in the currency shown. If you have any relevant questions, please contact your credit card issuing bank for further inquiries.
  2. 3DS is a mandatory procedure for this transaction, please make sure your credit card support 3DS, otherwise it will not be accepted by our payment provider.
  3. Please do not close the window or leave the browser after payment is completed.
