China Airlines Introduces Japanese Banquet Cuisine to Enhance the Travel Experience

China Airlines partnered with“TOUTOUAN'' , a famous restaurant in Tokyo, to launch their“natural style”by bringing Japan's signature banquet cuisine to the skies.
TOUTOUAN, a premium banquet restaurant passed down through three generations of the same family, hails from Tokyo and is part of the Kurochaya Restaurant Group, which was founded more than fifty years ago. Passengers flying Premium Business and Business Class on China Airlines'
flagship Japan routes, will be able to enjoy Japanese in-flight cuisine created by Araki Hironaka, the Japanese head chef of the original TOUTOUAN in Tokyo, and Wei-Ting Chen, the head chef of TOUTOUAN in Taipei, the only overseas restaurant.

"China Airlines Introduces Michelin Green Star to In-Flight Catering with Plant-based Pure Foods"

"Yang Ming Spring", which has won the Michelin Green Star award for two consecutive years, is a high-end vegetarian restaurant brand.

The founder of Yang Ming Spring, Mr. Chen Chien Hung, with core value of respecting earth and all nature, has built up an exclusive green supply chain by insisting on using natural ingredients, less seasoning to create gourmet by focusing on the original taste of real food.
Using local food and ingredients that shortens the distance of ingredients from place of origin to the dining table, Yang Ming Spring continues striving to achieve the goal of zero carbon footprint .

China Airlines x Le Ruban Introduces Signature Desserts

China Airlines partnered with Le Ruban Patisserie to serve signature desserts made with seasonal ingredients produced in Taiwan. This season, we adhere to the spirit of supporting local farmers in Taiwan. The newest signature dessert is made of high-mountain Jin Xuan Tea cultivated in a traditional way by the Changhua Huatan Farmers Association, and the non-toxic fresh jasmine petals retained from smoking process three times. This Tropical Fruit Mousse is also elaborated with citrus and mangoes abundant in Central Taiwan. The unique and elegant jasmine scent with a light tea flavor and sweet-sour filling complement the red heart of family reunion and the sweet amour to Valentine.

China Airlines will upgrade the content of in-flight meal after the epidemic, which is different from the design of Economy Class menu. The tableware will be the highlight of Premium Economy Class. Passengers flying Premium Economy Class are welcomed to pre-order their main courses from 21 days to 24hours before departure.

Four top Taiwanese chefs, Jian-fa Shi, Chao-lin Chen, Ho-chin Chang, and Hong-che Kuo, named by the Chinese Gourmet Association were invited by China Airlines to combine their expertise in well-known Taiwanese cuisine and collaborate alongside the China Pacific Catering Services chef’s experience on in-flight catering. 

Together, they created food with distinctive flavors highlighting the regional beauty of Taiwan while overcoming the constraints of in-flight catering and elevating Economy Class meals to new heights.

For children, infants or those with special religious dietary restrictions, please contact the China Airlines reservations center no later than 24 hours before departure. We will do our best to cater to your needs. Travelers with special dietary requirements due to food allergies are asked to prepare their own food.

From December 2022, you can enjoy THE MICHELIN Green Star restaurant Yang Ming Spring cuisine by pre-ordering a vegetarian oriental meal 24 hours before your flight departure.

The options are: Vegetarian Oriental Meal, Vegetarian Vegan Meal, Moslem Meal, Kosher Meal, Child Meal, and Infant Meal.
