New reservation: You can make a reservation via the Book & Purchase system on China Airlines website, or by contacting a travel agency or China Airlines' customer service personnel for services.
Re-reservation:
1. Buying tickets from a travel agency: If your original reservation is made via a travel agency and you haven't departed for this whole trip yet, please contact the original travel agency.
2. Buying tickets on China Airlines website: You can access "Email Customer Services" on China Airlines website or contact China Airlines customer service personnel for services.
Yes, China Airlines offers Advance Seat Selection service to all passengers except groups, which is available between 360 days and 50 hours before departure, depending on the fare purchased or membership level. Please note that some seats may not be available due to flight safety and operational requirements.
China Airlines reserves the right to adjust seats other than those pre-selected by passengers due to changes in aircraft type or airport operational requirements.
After reservation, please complete the issuance of your ticket before the deadline set by China Airlines as well as the deadline that varies from ticket to ticket. Meanwhile, declare your ticket number for reservation confirmation. To protect the interests of other passengers, we will cancel your reservation if your ticket is not issued before the deadline.
At present, China Airlines allows passengers to make a reservation 361 days prior to flight departure. You are advised to make a reservation early, especially for holidays during which huge numbers of travelers are expected to go abroad.
Please be sure to provide us with your mobile phone number, contact number, or email so that we can inform you of flight irregularities to protect your interests. If you haven't provided your contact information, please refer to China Airlines website to confirm flight information before departure, thus avoiding boarding failure due to flight irregularities.
If you are certain that your reservation will have to be canceled, we hope you can tell us to cancel it so as to avoid waste of food and to release your seat to other customers.
The computer code consists of six English letters or digits. This code is used to register a passenger's English name, itinerary, contact information and deadline for ticket issuance (if the ticket hasn't been issued) or ticket number (if the passenger has got the ticket). After completing the reservation procedure, we will provide you with such a computer code to facilitate reservation inquiry.
1.You can book through China Airlines' website/APP, local China Airlines offices, or your travel agent.
2.Before booking, please have the following information ready:
- Passenger Name (must match passport)
- Contact phone numbers for day and night during your travels, for future correspondence.
- Passport number, expiration date, gender, and date of birth (required by some countries).
3. Ensure you purchase the ticket before the deadline specified by China Airlines, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled.
1.Effective from 26Jul2024,
passengers holding China Airlines(CI/297)/Mandarin Airlines(AE/803) tickets with confirmed bookings affected by CI/AE operating flight cancellation, schedule change greater than 2 hours, or inadequate connection time results from schedule change may apply to this guideline.
Free & discount tickets(ID/AD/DM/GE/RG),award tickets and group tickets are excluded.
2.General Guidelines:
(1) The reissue fee/tax/Fuel surcharge/booking service charge/fare difference could be waived once under following circumstances.
(a) Date change : Passenger could rebook to the nearest available flight with the same origin, destination and Reservation booking designators(RBD) within the ticket validity.
(b) Reissue with Interline segments : The long-haul sector must be retained on CI/AE operated flights with the same RBD and then connected with our cooperated interline partners.
(c) CI/AE operated flights cannot be transferred to codeshare or other carrier's flights. (The fare rules initially applicable to codeshare flights are not subject to this provision.)
(d) If your tickets were purchased from a travel agency, please inquire with the travel agent for the relevant assistance.
(2) Refund :
(a) Refund service charge could be waived.
(b) For the refund procedure, please contact the corresponding department listed below.
● For tickets purchased via CI website/APP, or from CI Service Center/branch offices, please apply for the refund via CI website in the event of the Flight Cancellation. If the flight is delayed over 2 hours, please contact CI Service Center or branch office.
● For tickets purchased from the travel agency, please contact your travel agency for the refund.
(3) The relevant charge could be waived once and will not be exempted for the subsequent voluntary reissuance or refunds.
