Packaging Regulations for Sports Equipment

• Need to contact CI offices at the time of booking.
• Only non-motorized touring or racing single-seat bicycle is allowed.
• Tires should be deflated.
• Bicycle must be packed in a sturdy box or proper bike travel bag.
• Unsuitable packing that might cause damage to other checked baggage or to the bike itself is unacceptable.

• Need to contact CI offices for giving information of the weight and dimensions of your equipment at the time of booking, so we can determine if it is can be accepted for transportation.
• All contents in one container must be packed with bubble wrap or any other packing material which could be helpful in protecting package contents from colliding with each other.

• Ammunition is packed in either its original packaging or in a suitable container that prevents movement between shells or cartridges (i.e. loose ammunition is not permitted).
• Quantity restrictions and rules:
  Rifles: Each gun case may contain at most 2 rifles and 5 kg (11 lb) of ammunition. Ammunition must be packed inside a rigid and shatter-proof container. No loose ammunition is allowed.
  Pistols: Each gun case may contain at most 5 pistols and 5 kg (11 lb) of ammunition. Ammunition must be packed inside a rigid and shatter-proof container. No loose ammunition is allowed.

Charge of Sporting equipment

(The actual collection amount is calculated based on the departure date's local currency exchange rate)

1. Need to contact CI offices at the time of booking.
2. Our company can transport most types of sporting equipment for you.
3. Excluding the special sporting equipment listed below, if the total dimensions of sports equipment exceed 292 cm (115 inches), an excess baggage fee equivalent to two pieces will be charged. The acceptance of checked sports equipment is subject to the aircraft's cargo hold capacity. (The charges please check Excess Baggage).
4. If clothing or any non-sporting items are included in the packaging of sporting equipment, the item will be treated as regular baggage and subject to an additional oversize fee.
5. Sporting equipment may be included as part of your free checked baggage allowance. However, checked baggage that exceeds the standard weight restrictions or the number of checked baggage that exceeds the free baggage allowance is subject to applicable excess baggage fees.
6. If a set of sporting equipment is packed separately, it will not be considered as a single piece of baggage, the fee will be calculated based on the actual number of checked baggage.
7. All contents within a container must be securely packed with bubble wrap or any other suitable packing material to prevent the contents from colliding with each other.
8. China Airlines is not liable if and to the extent that the delay, loss or damage resulted from the inherent defect, quality or vice of the Baggage.
