Charge of Sporting equipment (The actual collection amount is calculated based on the departure date's local currency exchange rate)

 
  1. The equipment is considered to be the traveler's checked baggage and subject to checked baggage allowance restrictions. If the allowance is exceeded, standard excess baggage charges apply. Transporting sporting equipment as checked baggage, if the total dimensions of each sporting equipment exceed 292cm(115in), 2 pieces of excess baggage charge rate should be applied and can be accepted as checked baggage subject to space availability of cargo cabin on the flight (The charges please check Excess Baggage)

  2. The following types of sports equipment are exempt from the sum of length / width / height limit (Sporting equipment other than those below listed exception should be charged as general regulation):

    Sports Equipment Exceptions: 
    • Golf equipment 
    • Bicycles 
    • Angling/fishing equipment 
    • Scuba diving equipment 
    • Hockey/lacrosse equipment 
    • Archery equipment 
    • Bowling equipment 
    • Sporting firearms & ammunition 

  3. If you would like to check in any of the following oversized sports equipment, you must inform us at the time of booking and ask us to verify if transport is possible.
    • Angling/fishing equipment
    • Canoe/Hang-gliding Equipment/Kitesurfing Equipment/Paragliding Equipment
    • Surfboards/windsurfing equipment and bodyboards
    • Skiing, snowboarding, water skiing or wakeboarding equipment
    • Bicycles
    • Archery equipment
    • Sporting firearms & ammunition

Charge by weight example

Suppose an Economy Class traveler holding RBD M ticket (checked baggage allowance: 2 pieces, 23 kg each) flies from Taipei to Hawaii, U.S., and checks in two pieces of baggage (20 kg and 23 kg) and one bag of surfboard(s) (sum of length, width and height is 300 cm, weighs 15 kg). The traveler will need to pay one time of excess baggage charge (US$ 200), plus the oversize charge of US$ 400, which totals to US$ 600.
