Due to Earthquake in Osaka area on 18JUN18, Rebooking/Reissue/Reroute/Refund handling procedure for passengers holding a confirmed booking on CI/AE flights to/from KIX on/after 18JUN18 and on/before 30JUN18 are listed below:
For those passengers, who are holding CI/AE valid tickets with confirmed bookings on CI/AE flights to/from Osaka(KIX) on/after18JUN18 and on/before 30JUN18 issued before 18JUN18, must file an application on/before 01JUL18.
- Rebooking/ Reissue/ Reroute
In case of Reissue/Rebooking, the Reissue/Rebooking service charge shall be waived only once.
Passengers shall pay Fare/Tax difference if any incurred by rebooking to other flights.
Reroute to other flights to/from Japan shall be accepted and passengers shall pay Fare/Tax difference if any.
a. Full refund for unused tickets without imposing any refund service charge/penalty.
b. Refund for partially used tickets, all refund service charge or penalty can be waived. Calculation of refund value for flights will be based on involuntary refund procedures.
Due to earthquake in Osaka Japan, flights departing/arriving to Kansai International Airport (KIX) might be affected, passengers are advised to check the latest flight status before going to the airport.

To provide better service, China Airlines Business Class Lounge at Shenzhen International Airport (near Gate 9) is scheduled for renovation from 29 May, 2018 and is expected to reopen on 30 September, 2018. From 15 June 2018 onwards, in order to allow sufficient time for all formalities at airport, passenger check-in counter will be closed 60 minutes prior to the schedule time of departure for all CI/AE operating flights (excluding CI/AE code-share flights operated by other code-share partner carriers) and IT129/CI8609 departing from Taoyuan international airport.
