Member Privileges
Upgrade Welcome Offer *
Member who upgrade to Paragon membership receives 10,000 miles and 4 complimentary upgrade awards.
Complimentary Gold Card *
Paragon members may apply complimentary Gold membership for any family members or friends, who should also be a Dynasty Flyer Program member. Validity period of the Complimentary Gold Card will be the same as validity period of the Paragon membership.
Renewal Gift
Paragon members who are eligible to renew the membership will be awarded 60,000 miles and 4 complimentary upgrade awards.
Additional Miles *
Birthday Gift Miles : China Airlines offers extra bonus of 2,000 miles as a birthday gift for Paragon card members who travel with revenue tickets on self-operated international flight of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines during the month period of their birthdays.
Incentive Miles : Paragon members receive 30% incentive miles when taking flights marketed and operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines.
The complimentary upgrade awards are applicable to upgrade to Premium Economy Class and to (Premium) Business Class when the booking class of the ticket fulfills the requirement. Please contact the nearest customer service center or branch office for upgrade booking.
The guidelines for Paragon members transferring complimentary upgrade awards are as follows :
Award transfer or return awards must be applied to the customer service center or branch office within the validity period, and the expire date will not be changed.
In order to obtain sufficient time for this transfer process, please submit your application at least 2 weeks prior to flight departure.
Only members in nominee list are applicable to be transferred.
Once an award is transferred to a member, it cannot be transferred again to a third party.
Airports are not available for this transfer service.
Please fill out all the required fields of “Dynasty Flyer Award Transfer Application Form” and prepare photocopy of a valid passport including signature page. Notice of Complimentary Gold Card
Please fill out every blank of Application Form for Member to Exercise Personal Data Right and tick "Other/ Please specify" in Contents of the Application. Then state the purpose is to apply complimentary Gold card with the name and membership number of the member you would like to assign. Photocopy of Paragon member's valid passport, including signature page, is required. Signature on the application form have to be the same as the signature on the passport.
Once this courtesy Gold membership is assigned to a member, it cannot be changed until the Paragon membership is renewed. The courtesy Gold card object may be changed once the Paragon member renews the membership. Please apply for the modification 2 months before the expiration of the Paragon membership. Courtesy Gold membership and renewed Paragon membership take effect simultaneously.
Notice of Additional Miles
The extra birthday gift miles will be credited into your account in the following month of your birthday. Each member is entitled to birthday gift miles once a year.
To enjoy this offer, members have to use revenue tickets that can accumulate miles. Group tickets (G class) are excluded.

Customer Service Hotline
At certain branch offices, China Airlines provide Paragon members an exclusive service hotline for reservation and fax. Please log in your account to check the number on Manage My Account page.
Reservation Wait List Priority *
If Paragon members (excluding companions) would like to book a flight already full, they can be listed in the priority reservation wait list. When there are available seats present, members' reservation will be confirmed according to ticket class and membership tiers.
Guaranteed Reservation *
Paragon members may enjoy guaranteed reservation in following situations:
Reservation of Premium Economy Class Flex product with booking class W and Economy Class Flex product with booking class Y. The flights should be marketed and operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines and the reservation should be done at least 48 hours prior to departure.
Reservation of Economy Class Flex product with booking class Y of scheduled international flights of 6 hours or more. The flights should be marketed and operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines and the reservation should be done at least 24 hours prior to departure.
Domestic Ticket Discount
Paragon members may enjoy a 10% discount of published fare for Mandarin Airlines domestic tickets at Mandarin Airlines website or designated ticket counters.
Seat Selection *
After tickets are purchased, please visit web site MANAGE - Seat/ Special Assistance, or log in “Member service - Travel Services - Booking Records” to select seat online. Seat selection is available via Online Check-in 48 hours before flight departure.
Paragon member and 2 companions may enjoy the privilege of free seat selection, including all 3 chargeable seat types: Standard, Preferred, and Extra Comfort.
If the requested flight or cabin class is unavailable when the reservation is made, China Airlines may arrange a seat on a flight before or after the requested flight or in another class on the requested flight. After the reservation is confirmed, the ticket used by the member should be consistent with the confirmed cabin class for Paragon members. The member shall be responsible for fare difference (if any) caused by such an arrangement.
The reservation wait list priority is not available for the following booking or tickets:
Any reservation made within 72 hours prior to departure.
Upgrade award ticket.
Free ticket (including award tickets,) discount ticket, group ticket, promotional ticket and barter ticket.
Charter flight or code-share flight operated by other airlines.
Notice of Guaranteed Reservation
After the reservation is confirmed, the booking class of the members’ ticket should be the same as the aforementioned booking class and members should pay the fare difference if any.
This offer may sometimes be suspended due to major festivals and special operating conditions without notice, but we will try our best to make other arrangements.
Notice of Seat Selection
Companions should be in the same reservation record with Paragon members, and tickets should be issued for both parties. Companions holding group tickets (G Class) or tickets issued by other airlines (except Mandarin Airlines tickets) is not eligible for this service.
Please contact China Airlines call centers or branch offices for application from the next day of ticket issuance. China Airlines official website and airport counters, In-flight are not available for this service.
Paragon members and 2 companions who use award ticket or upgrade with miles and its booking class with O / I / Z / P / X may select seat for free. (p.s. O stands for business / premium business class award tickets; I stands for tickets upgrade from economy class to business class / premium business class, and ticket upgrades from premium economy class to premium business class; Z stands for premium economy class award tickets; P stands for tickets upgrade from economy class to premium economy class; X stands for economy class award tickets.)

When taking on self-operated international flight of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines, Paragon members can enjoy priority handling service for their baggage.
Airport VIP Lounge Access * Paragon members, when taking a self-operated international flight of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines, can enjoy VIP lounge access:
Self-operated VIP lounges: Members may invite 2 companions and children under 12 years old besides members themselves.
Third-party VIP lounges: Members may invite 1 companion.
Companion Cabin Upgrade at Airport *
Paragon members can invite 1 companion traveling on the same flight for upgrade to the same class. This privilege is subject to seat availability.
To enjoy the benefit, both Paragon member and the companion must purchase tickets with eligible ticket class.
Extra baggage allowance is under piece system, each piece of baggage should not exceed 23 kg on Economy Class, 28 kg on Premium Economy Class and 32 kg on Business Class. For other regulations, please refer to Baggage Rules.
This benefit applies only to the self-operated flights of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines. This benefit is unavailable for flights handled by other airlines.

This service is not available if the trip involves other carriers or code-shared sectors.
Notice of Airport VIP Lounge Access
Self-operated VIP lounges recently include Taoyuan-Taipei, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Tokyo Narita International Airport, San Francisco.
The companions invited by Paragon members must enter the VIP lounge together. The companions do not have to be on the same flight as the Paragon members, but they should be taking SkyTeam flights.
Exclusive area service is available in airport VIP lounges at Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) and San Francisco Airport (SFO). Regulations are as follows :
When departing from Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) and San Francisco Airport (SFO), Paragon and members can access to exclusive area when taking a self-operated international flight of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines.
When departing from Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), Paragon members can access to exclusive area when taking a self-operated international flight of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines.
Paragon members may redeem their miles to invite guests to enter China Airlines self-operated VIP Lounges when checking in at the airport. (Please refer to VIP Lounge Redemption)
VIP lounges are available to members during their opening hours only, please refer to the information on VIP Lounge for more details.
In case the VIP Lounge is full, China Airlines reserves the right to arrange alternatives according to the regulations of each airport.
Notice of Companion Cabin Upgrade at Airport
Eligible ticket classes are as follows:
Paragon Members: Tickets with booking class J, C, W, U.
Companions: The following is eligible ticket class for upgrade redeemed with miles:
(1) Upgrade from Economy Class to Premium Economy Class (both long and short haul): Standard or Flex product.
(2) Upgrade from Premium Economy Class to Premium Business Class (both long and short haul): Standard or Flex product.
(3) Upgrade from Economy Class to Business Class / Premium Business Class:
• Long Haul: Flex product.
• Short Haul: Standard or Flex product.
Ineligible tickets and situation:
Award upgrade, discount tickets (AD, ID, DG, BP, CG, DM, etc.,) award tickets, free tickets, group tickets (G Class), infant tickets, labor tickets, and other promotional tickets with upgrade restrictions.
If the companion has already had a confirmed booking in the cabin the same as Paragon members, the companion is not entitled to this benefit, and fare difference for this confirmed booking cannot be refunded (for example, fare difference for ticket exchange, cabin upgrade award or miles.)
If there are other opportunities for upgrade after companion upgrade is done, Paragon members and their companions are not able to enjoy upgrade again.
Paragon members should register the name of the companion on the back of their membership cards and it is not allowed to change the name. Members should apply for upgrade only at airport check-in counters. Application is neither available after boarding nor upon reservation.
The ticket holder is responsible for all taxes and surcharges if any while enjoying this upgrade benefit.
Other Benefits
Earn Miles *
Members who take self-operated international flights of China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines or other partner airlines and use applicable tickets can accumulate miles for each scheduled flight.
When using the services or products of our partners, such as credit card consumption, hotel accommodation and car rental, members can also accumulate miles (please refer to Partnership Mileage Program.)
Discounts on In-flight Duty-free Goods *
All DFP members can pre-order duty free items with miles on China Airlines e-Shopping web-site.
Notice of Earn Miles
The name on the membership card must be the same as that on the passport. When making a reservation, please be sure to provide both your membership number and the name that appears on your card.
Notice of Discounts on In-flight Duty-free Goods
Every 1,000 miles equals to USD3. The member who takes the flight and redeems the miles must be the one who owns the miles.
Paragon members must present their membership card (physical/APP membership card) to enjoy the discount on duty-free products on board (except for tobacco, alcohol and specific products,) and cannot be used in conjunction with online pre-order duty-free product discounts.
