Temporary Suspension of Frequent Flyer Privileges with China Southern Airlines

We would like to inform you that the frequent flyer partnership between China Airlines and China Southern Airlines (CZ) will undergo temporary adjustments from December 20, 2025 to June 30, 2026. Please refer to the details below:

1. Mileage Accrual and Redemption：
   1. Starting from December 20, 2025, mileage accrual will be temporarily suspended for both parties. Dynasty Flyer members will not be able to accrue mileage on China Southern flights, and vice versa.
   2. Starting from December 28, 2025, automatic mileage accrual will be suspended for both parties. Dynasty Flyer members will not be able to accrue mileage automatically on China Southern flights, and vice versa.
   3. Starting from January 1, 2026, mileage redemption for award tickets will also be suspended. Dynasty Flyer members will not be able to redeem miles for China Southern flights, and vice versa.
   4. Award tickets issued on or before December 31, 2025 remain valid and can be used within the ticket’s validity period.
2. Member Privileges
   1. From January 1 to June 30, 2026, Dynasty Flyer members will temporarily have no access to airport privileges provided by China Southern Airlines, including but not limited to: priority check-in, priority boarding, extra baggage allowance, and lounge access.
      The same applies to China Southern members traveling with China Airlines.
   2. GCC Connect program:
      - From January 1 to June 30, 2026, Gold Card members and above traveling in Economy Class on self-operated TWN-PRC/PRC-HKG flights, as well as on TWN-PRC/PRC-HKG codeshare flights jointly operated between CI/AE and the other three partner airlines, will have their access to CZ-operated airport lounges suspended.
      -The affected CZ self-operated airport lounge locations include, but are not limited to: Beijing (Daxing), Urumqi, Shenyang, Changchun, Zhengzhou, Harbin, Guiyang, Guangzhou, Changsha, Haikou, Sanya, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Shantou, Dalian, Shanghai (Pudong / Hongqiao), Hangzhou, Kunming, Nanjing, Nanning, Wuhan, Zhuhai.
3. Retroactive Mileage Claims
   1. For travel between July 1 and December 31, 2025:
      - During this itinerary period, the retroactive mileage claim period has been extended from 6 months to 12 months.
      - If the claim is submitted on or before December 20, 2025, it will be processed under the current procedure.
      - If the claim is submitted between December 21 and December 31, 2025, please re-submit your request during the period of July 1 to December 31, 2026.
   2. For travel between January 1 and June 30, 2026:
      - Mileage retroactive claims are temporarily suspended and will not be accepted for travel during this period.
4. Automatic Mileage Accrual : For travel dates between December 28, 2025 and December 31, 2025, mileage will not be automatically accrued, even if a CI or CZ membership number has been registered. Members are advised to apply for retroactive mileage credit between July 1 and December 31, 2026.
