Miles and Cash

Now you may use miles as cash when buying tickets via China Airlines website. You can proportionately credit the miles to pay for your international flight ticket as you like.
 
 

How does Miles and Cash work?

 
  1. Please log in your frequent flyer account (adult frequent flyer account) before choosing Book Flights in order to get Miles and Cash option.




  2. If the fares and flights checked by system are applicable to Miles and Cash requirements, Miles and Cash Slider will be shown in the booking flow. You can adjust the slider to select the recommended mileage deduction.




  3. If there are several passengers in a single transaction (same record locator), each passenger should input his/her frequent flyer numbers in order to complete Miles and Cash payment transaction. Only miles from the web logged-in account owner (adult frequent flyer account) can be used for the miles deduction.(Infant ticket is not applicable.)
 

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Please log in your frequent flyer account (adult frequent flyer account) before you choose Book Flights to purchase the ticket. Miles and Cash Slider will be shown in the booking flow if the fares and flights checked by system are applicable. Once the current page has been idle for 30 minutes after log in, Miles and Cash slider will not be shown in order to protect your personal data security. Please log in Member Service again.
  2. Miles and Cash payment is only available via CI website. If you book your ticket through travel agents or China Airlines ticket offices or call centers, you will not have the option to mix your miles and cash for payment.
  3. This benefit of Miles and Cash is only applicable for flights operated by China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines. If the itinerary includes both outbound and inbound flights operated by other airlines or codeshare flights, Miles and Cash option is not applicable.
  4. This benefit applies only to point-to-point one-way or round-trip ticket purchases. Miles and Cash cannot be used for transactions made with other promotions or channels (Promo codes, Student, Bank Discounts, Corporate ID tickets, Birthday Special Discount, multi-city, and stopovers itineraries.
  5. The deduction made will be based on a single transaction. If there are several passengers in a single transaction (same reservation locator), each passenger should input his/her frequent flyer numbers in order to complete Miles and Cash payment transaction. Only miles from the web logged-in account owner (adult frequent flyer account) can be used for the miles deduction. (Infant ticket is not applicable.)
  6. The exact amount of miles required may vary due to the miles balance, routings, and fare family products upon booking. Please select combination miles and cash recommended by system.
  7. Tickets class with O/Z/X/L/G/S class, Infant tickets, Unaccompanied Minor tickets are not applicable to this benefits. China Airlines reserves the right to change applicable fare family products without notice.
  8. The miles deduction can only be paid for the ticket fares upon purchasing the tickets. The benefits cannot be applied to taxes, the fuel surcharge, ancillary service (such as prepaid baggage, seat selection), ticket fare difference, and booking/ticketing service charge.
  9. Miles and Cash tickets can be rebooked the travel date, flight time, and ticket class via China Airlines website - Manage Booking/Chang Flight option. If you wish to change your itinerary, please contact China Airlines branch offices.
  10. Application for Miles and Cash tickets refund can be submitted online via CI website -Manage Booking/Refund Tickets option, or to contact China Airlines branch offices. Totally unused Miles and Cash tickets including taxes will be refunded according to the original form of payment. Miles will be returned to the account holder who made the booking if that mileage is still valid on the application date for the refund. Partially used ticket will be refunded in cash for unused flight segments and taxes, but mileage cannot be refunded.
  11. Online tickets departing from Mainland China and flight number starting with AE carrier code, such as, Xiamen to Taipei (AE992) can only be paid by using credit cards or other applicable online payments.
  12. Miles and Cash slider cannot be combined with Multiple Currency Payment option.

  14. China Airlines reserves the right to change pricing and terms of ticketing without notice.
  15. Corporate Member Card is not applicable.
  16. Your Miles and Cash transaction shall not be effective until your payment process has been accepted successfully. Any currency exchange rate, foreign transaction fee, additional fees and credit card verification are not determined by China Airlines. If you have any questions about these fees or verification applied to your transaction, please contact your bank. China Airlines reserves the right to revoke or cancel any acceptance, cancel and/or reverse transactions as set forth below.
