Application | Flight cancellation, a schedule change exceeding 3 hours, or insufficient connection time due to an adjusted flight schedule, caused by a natural disaster (including but not limited to typhoons, earthquakes, blizzards, etc.) |
Eligibility | Passengers holding valid CI(297)/AE(803) tickets (including award tickets) with confirmed bookings must submit applications within 3 months from the date the flight irregularity occurred. |
Change | a. Within ticket validity and subject to applicable regulations, the reissue fee/reissue service charge/booking service charge/tax/fuel surcharge/fare difference could be waived once provided that the itinerary/booking class remain unchanged and the new flight date falls within 14 days prior to/after the affected flight. b. Please contact the branch office or Call Center to change the booking for tickets issued on CI website. If tickets were purchased from a travel agency, please inquire with the travel agent for the relevant assistance. |
Refund | a. Refund charge could be waived for invountary refunds (Tickets initially purchased through the CI website, branch offices, or call centers could be refunded by submitting a request via the CI website.) b. Chargeable seats and Pre-paid excess baggage could be fully refunded. |
Group / Free / Reduced fare Tickets | The guideline above does not apply to Free/ Reduced fare Tickets, e.g. DM/ID/AD...etc. For group tickets, please contact your travel agency. |
