China Airlines Expands European Network with New Taipei-Prague Route

    Diterbitkan: Mar 14, 2023

As river cruise ships lazily make their way along the Vltava River, the magnificent Castle District and Rudolfinum come into view. Sail under the Charles Bridge and enjoy the idyllic riverside scenery of Prague in the Czech Republic. China Airlines is now inviting you to experience the most beautiful city in Eastern Europe. Today (3/14) China Airlines announced direct flights from Taipei to Prague with the A350 passenger aircraft from July 2023. Beginning July 18th China Airlines will operate two flights per week, making China Airlines the only airline to fly directly between Taiwan and the Czech Republic.

The China Airlines Taipei-Prague service will depart every Tuesday and Saturday. The outbound flight CI067 from Taipei to Prague will take off from Taoyuan Airport at 23:20 and arrive at 07:10 the following morning local time after a flight of 13 hours and 50 minutes. The return flight CI068 will take off at 11:05 local time and arrive at Taoyuan Airport at 05:35 the following morning after a flight of 12 hours and 30 minutes. The direct flights will be carried out by the A350, the next-generation aircraft and the mainstay of China Airlines on transoceanic routes. The A350 is configured with 32 Premium Business Class, 31 Premium Economy Class, and 243 Economy Class seats.

The eastern European city of Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic as well as its largest city. The Bohemian style can be seen everywhere in Prague and the city has long been known as a real-life “Fairytale City.” Prague became the first city to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its elegant historic buildings and classical air of mystery. It is also one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. Prague was founded on the Vltava River and the river flows through its Castle, Lesser Town, Old Town and New Town districts. Popular destinations include the Old Town Square, St. Vitus Cathedral, Astronomical Clock, and Charles Bridge. These are all must-see sights for travelers around the world.

China Airlines has a positive outlook on post-pandemic travel recovery. The number of people traveling to Europe has been growing steadily in recent years with the European market seeing the most growth. With business and travel demand both growing steadily throughout the Asia-Pacific, Europe offers a market with great potential and China Airlines will continue to compete in the transfer market. China Airlines currently flies on the Taipei-Vienna route four times a week. Taipei-Prague will begin making two flights a week from July 18 onwards. Up to six flights a week to Vienna or Prague will give travelers more flexibility on their Austrian and Czech itineraries.

China Airlines has built a comprehensive network in Europe after 40 years of development. Prague will become the sixth all-new destination to be added. Existing European destinations include Frankfurt (Germany), Amsterdam (the Netherlands), London (U.K.), Rome (Italy), and Vienna (Austria). With nearly 30 European flights per week, China Airlines is the airline with the most destinations and the busiest schedule for direct flights to Europe in Taiwan. (2023/03/14)
