To ensure the security of your transaction with your credit card, 3DS is a mandatory procedure for online purchases via China Airlines's website and app.
3DS is short of 3-Domain Secure provided by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and JCB. The service offers secure authentication for online payments with the intention of improving the safety of online transactions.
3DS 2.0 ensures privacy and security when transmitting data. With the fraud evaluation results of the credit card holders, the One-Time Password(OTP) authentication process might be left out, so you can have a more secure and convenient experience. If your bank does not support 3DS, it is recommended that you use another credit card that has enrolled in 3DS.
Foreign transaction fee is imposed by a credit card issuer on a transaction that takes place overseas or with a foreign merchant.
When you book a ticket with China Airlines, fares and taxes will be quoted in the currency of the departure country (Except Philippines/Vietnam/Cambodia/Myanmar, and some non CI/AE self-operated flights). Your credit card issuer may charge the foreign transaction fees depending on your departure country/region and the currency.
