China Airlines, a Taiwan-based carrier, has officially announced its compatibility with Find Hub’s luggage locating feature as part of its push to expand digital innovation services. The carrier will become the first airline in Taiwan to introduce it and provide travelers with more comprehensive luggage finding options.
China Airlines is leading the industry by becoming the first Taiwan-based carrier to support both Apple AirTag and Google’s Find Hub luggage finding capabilities. China Airlines already offers Apple AirTag support. The introduction of Find Hub, in partnership with Google, expands the scope of the luggage finding feature to include users of Android™ devices as well. As long as travelers place a Find Hub compatible, smart anti-loss device in their checked luggage, its position can be located at airport check-in, during transfers, and at the destination. The Find Hub network leverages a global community of over a billion Android devices worldwide to help locate lost luggage. Travelers can even use the Find Hub app to generate a secure, private link for sharing their luggage details to help the airline find their luggage for faster recovery.
As one of Find Hub's first global airline partners, China Airlines is offering a smart digital travel experience that integrates the "share item location" feature with the existing luggage tracking service for enhanced privacy and security. For travelers, this means more up to date luggage locating information during their journey and the ability to share item locations with the airline when necessary. Smart protection is equipped with built-in safeguards to protect traveler privacy. Once the luggage is recovered, the link shared by the traveler automatically deactivates and will expire after seven days.
China Airlines has long invested in digital services that take to heart its mission of catering to travelers' needs. The AI Customer Service Agent, China Airlines App, Dynasty Sky Reading App, iFoundU and other functions are combined with cutting-edge digital technologies to create a smarter, more accessible, and more comfortable travel experience.
Find Hub network requires location services and Bluetooth to be turned on. Requires cell service or internet connection. Works on Android 9+ and in certain countries for age-eligible users. Google, Android and Find Hub are trademarks of Google LLC.
