When you report a baggage irregularity, we will use our worldwide computerized tracing system to look for your baggage and keep you informed. If you need assistance, please contact the airport office or input the case number (5 letters and 5 digits), as indicated by the ground crew on a "Baggage Accident Report Form", and your English name into the baggage tracing system to check the progress of the baggage search.

China Airlines has engaged some vendors at most airports to provide free services of home delivery, baggage case repair, and alternative baggage cases. If your baggage case happens to be damaged, please go to the baggage service counter in the Immigration area (before the customs) to report it. Our service personnel will provide assistance.
China Airlines is not liable for the loss, damage, or delayed delivery of the following valuables and important personal effects that are included in the checked baggage:
1. Paintings, artwork, antiques, money, securities, assignable instruments, optics, timepieces, natural fur products
2. Jewelry, precious metals/stones, silverware, collectibles, heirlooms and other irreplaceable items
3. Photographic/audio/video equipment and related items, mobile phone and other communication equipment
4. Computer hardware/software and electronic components/equipment, and business equipment
5. Spirits, keys, emergency medicines, medical supplies
6. Manuscripts, blueprints, photographs, publications, business/personal documents
7. Business samples, video/audio recordings
8. Passports and other identification documents
9. Other similar valuables or commercial items

Each passenger is entitled to the following baggage allowance in accordance with the cabin class that they take. Carry-on baggage that passengers bring to the cabin must be placed under their seats or in the baggage lockers. Paragon, Emerald and Gold members taking China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines self-operated international flights can enjoy extra allowance . For Paragon, Emerald and Gold members, the extra allowance will be 2 pieces, 1 piece and 1 piece respectively.
