Art in motion high above the clouds! Today (4/1) China Airlines, a Taiwan-based carrier, unveiled the “Pikachu Jet CI2”, its second Pokémon-themed aircraft in collaboration with The Pokémon Company. The Airbus A350 passenger aircraft features a vibrant fuselage decorated with 13 Pokémon and an exquisite floral tile pattern of auspicious clouds, exemplifying the aesthetics of Taiwanese craftsmanship. This immersive livery theme extends to the airport check-in, in-flight amenities, and children's meals, creating a “theme park in the sky” and redefining the joy of travel for passengers of all ages.

China Airlines President Kevin Chen stated that the airline's first Pokémon-themed aircraft under the Pokémon Air Adventures program has won widespread praise since its launch in 2022. The introduction of a second themed aircraft in collaboration with The Pokémon Company this year carries on the China Airlines brand spirit and serves as a token of appreciation to Pokémon fans worldwide for their enthusiastic support. This all-new themed aircraft will continue to connect the world, flying to distant destinations such as Tokyo and Seattle, while bringing joy to global travelers.

The Pokémon Company is delighted to partner with China Airlines once again to launch the “Pikachu Jet CI2”, allowing travelers to embark on exciting adventures around the world with Pokémon.

13 Pokémon are featured on the China Airlines Pikachu Jet CI2 including the Flying Pikachu, Clefairy, Dratini, Dragonair, Dragonite, Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff, Beautifly, Swablu, Altaria, Cresselia, and Vivillon. Travelers with a keen eye may also spot a hidden surprise on the aircraft's engines. Inside the cabin, the Pokémon and Taiwanese floral tile motifs are elegantly applied to onboard amenities including the dining tray mat, mixed snack, themed paper cups, paper napkins, head rest covers, pillow cases and flight attendant aprons. To create an even more engaging atmosphere, China Airlines has introduced unique onboard souvenirs, such as Pikachu ballpoint pens and sticky notes.

Complementing the inauguration of the Pikachu Jet CI2, China Airlines has designed a fantasy-themed flying experience for younger passengers. A variety of Pokémon-themed gifts including sticker books, coloring fans and coloring carry bags encourage children to let their imaginations soar above the clouds. China Airlines is also launching the distinctive Pokémon Themed Kids Meal Box on all routes. Additionally, a distinctive Pokémon-themed Kids' Meal Box is launching on all routes. The playful meal box assembly kit extends the immersive flying experience from sight to taste, accompanying junior explorers throughout their journey.

Starting this April, China Airlines will also release a new line of Pikachu Jet CI2 themed merchandise. These include carry-on luggage, travel neck pillow, bomber jacket, and themed merchandise ranging from everyday clothing to travel essentials can be purchased through the China Airlines eMall website or through Home Delivery aboard flights.
