New reservation: You can make a reservation via the Book & Purchase system on China Airlines website, or by contacting a travel agency or China Airlines' customer service personnel for services.
Re-reservation:
1. Buying tickets from a travel agency: If your original reservation is made via a travel agency and you haven't departed for this whole trip yet, please contact the original travel agency.
2. Buying tickets on China Airlines website: You can access "Email Customer Services" on China Airlines website or contact China Airlines customer service personnel for services.
Yes, China Airlines offers Advance Seat Selection service to all passengers except groups, which is available between 360 days and 50 hours before departure, depending on the fare purchased or membership level. Please note that some seats may not be available due to flight safety and operational requirements.
China Airlines reserves the right to adjust seats other than those pre-selected by passengers due to changes in aircraft type or airport operational requirements.
After reservation, please complete the issuance of your ticket before the deadline set by China Airlines as well as the deadline that varies from ticket to ticket. Meanwhile, declare your ticket number for reservation confirmation. To protect the interests of other passengers, we will cancel your reservation if your ticket is not issued before the deadline.
At present, China Airlines allows passengers to make a reservation 361 days prior to flight departure. You are advised to make a reservation early, especially for holidays during which huge numbers of travelers are expected to go abroad.
Please be sure to provide us with your mobile phone number, contact number, or email so that we can inform you of flight irregularities to protect your interests. If you haven't provided your contact information, please refer to China Airlines website to confirm flight information before departure, thus avoiding boarding failure due to flight irregularities.
- For flight safety and health of the passenger, pregnant passengers need to inform our reservation staff of the expected date of delivery, single or multiple pregnancy and a strong recommendation that all pregnant passengers carry their prenatal medical records with the required information while travelling.
- Pregnant passengers who violate the regulations or submit false information may potentially cause significant disruption and expense to the airline and other passengers, China Airlines reserves the right to recover its costs (including, but not limited to flight diversion, delay claims, etc.) though legal actions
- Pregnant passenger whose gestation period is over 28 weeks, must contact the China Airlines Reservation Center to obtain medical clearance and confirm booking by submitting the require documents at least 2 working days (excluding weekends and holidays) prior to the commencement of travel: Medical Clearance Form, Medical Certificate (contain information pertaining to the expected date of delivery, singleton or multiple pregnancy).
- Medical Clearance Form and Medical Certificate must be signed by a qualified obstetrician and dated within 10 days of departure flight; for instance, if the departure date is Mar 29, the "Medical Clearance Form" and "Medical Certificate" issuance date must be dated after Mar 20 (inclusive).
- For return or continuing flight that is within two weeks of the departure date, the approval for fly may be granted with initial application with the departure flight application. If the return or continuing flight is longer than 2 weeks, the passenger must be re-submitted with updated medical documents for approval.
- We will accept passenger those who have completed application and obtained approval from our medical office with uncomplicated multiple pregnancy up to 31 weeks + 6 days.
- We will accept passenger those who have completed the application and obtained approval from our medical office with uncomplicated singleton pregnancy up to 35 weeks + 6 days.
- For flight safety and health of the passenger, we restrict pregnant passengers from travelling beyond 36 weeks with single pregnancy or gestation period over 32 weeks with multiple pregnancies.
- Travel after giving birth:CAL will not knowingly carry a new mother within 14 days after delivery due to health concerns.
If you are certain that your reservation will have to be canceled, we hope you can tell us to cancel it so as to avoid waste of food and to release your seat to other customers.
The computer code consists of six English letters or digits. This code is used to register a passenger's English name, itinerary, contact information and deadline for ticket issuance (if the ticket hasn't been issued) or ticket number (if the passenger has got the ticket). After completing the reservation procedure, we will provide you with such a computer code to facilitate reservation inquiry.
If you purchased your ticket through travel agencies, you will not be able to look up your ticket on the China Airlines website.
1.You can book through China Airlines' website/APP, local China Airlines offices, or your travel agent.
2.Before booking, please have the following information ready:
- Passenger Name (must match passport)
- Contact phone numbers for day and night during your travels, for future correspondence.
- Passport number, expiration date, gender, and date of birth (required by some countries).
3. Ensure you purchase the ticket before the deadline specified by China Airlines, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled.
