    Miles and Status Points Accumulation on China Airlines / Mandarin Airlines

    To ensure that your flight miles and status points is credited accurately and timely, please give our service personnel both your membership card number and your name, when making a reservation yourself or through a travel agent. When checking in at the airport, present your membership card to ensure that your miles is automatically credited to your account. Further, please retain your ticket copy and boarding pass at least 180 days for the purpose of any future inquiries.

    • Flight miles refers to the miles members earned by taking the scheduled international flights operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines and the applicable flights of SkyTeam partner airlines, which can be used to redeem award tickets, cabin upgrades, pay for part of the ticket fare, airport and onboard services, miles donation programs, and selected merchandise, etc.

    • Status points refers to the points members earned by taking the scheduled international flights operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines and the applicable flights of SkyTeam partner airlines, which can be used to determine your tier progression.

    • Actual miles refers to the miles between departure and destination of a flight (subject to the IATA regulated Ticketed-Point-Mileage (TPM)). If a flight number is changed due to a transit, the actual miles of the two flights will be calculated separately.

    • When the ticket class and the boarding class are different, the flight miles and status points is calculated based on the lower of the two. China Airlines will calculate and confirm your miles and status points after departure.

    • Tickets sold at discounts of 50% or more, free ticket, award ticket with X/Z/O booking class, infant ticket, group ticket with G booking class, promotional ticket with S/L/X booking class, labor ticket, barter ticket, charter ticket, excess baggage ticket, and airline and travel industry discount tickets are excluded from flight miles accumulation.

    • If due to force majeure, a China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flight is canceled or delayed and members are transferred to other airlines, the sector miles and status points will not be credited.

    • Flight miles and status points can only be accumulated once per flight, regardless of what flight are taken. Additional miles and status points cannot be credited for additional tickets and seats.

    • If a DFP member is also a member of other partner airlines, the flight miles can be credited only to either DFP or other membership programs. Once a program has been selected, members may not request to transfer the miles to another frequent flyer program account, regardless of whether the mileage accrual is successful.

    Remark

    • When a member uses O/Z/L/X/G/S class tickets then no mileage will be earned.

    • For upgrade segment booked under I class and P class, the ticket class should refer to the original ticket purchased by members.

    • The accrual ratio on segments applied and a single flight number basis.

    Mileage Validity

    • The accumulated mileage is valid for 36 months (based on Taipei Local Time) beginning from the date of taking China Airlines/Mandarin Airlines/partnership airlines flights or the date of actual spending in the case of cross-industry cooperation. Mileage that has expired will be automatically invalidated at 00:00 am on the first day of each month. For example, the mileage accumulated in May, 2016 will expire on June 1, 2019 Taipei Local Time, and mileage accumulated in August, 2019 will expire on September 1, 2022 Taipei Local Time. The mileage accumulated must be redeemed for awards under the account of a valid card number within the validity period and used up according to rules.
    • The mileage earned by one member may not be combined with another member's. Each mileage transfer must start from 10,000 miles, in increments of 1,000 miles. Click here for details.
    • Expired miles can be reinstated within six months for a fee. Reinstated miles will be valid for 12 months only. Click here for details.

    Claim Miles and Status Points

    • If you have any questions regarding your flown miles and status poins, please call our local Member Service Hotline within 180 days of your flight departure. Please provide your boarding pass, electronic or paper ticket receipt as well as your membership card number (flight itinerary or reservation reference will not be accepted). China Airlines will verify and correct your miles within four weeks. You may also access Dynasty Member Portal to correct your miles online.
    • Because boarding record for each flight requires time for update, application on the same day as flight departure may not be accepted.
    • If your booking name is different from your name shown on the member profile and you will not be able to reclaim miles and status points successfully online. Please provide boarding pass, electronic or paper ticket receipt, photocopy of your passport with the alias name (also known as) is required for identity verification and contact our local Member Service Hotline to reclaim miles and status points.
    • If you hold two passports or alias name, you may apply through the service to add alias name and then apply to reclaim.
    • Please keep your electronic or paper ticket receipt and boarding pass until the miles has been credited to your account.
    • If you find any errors in the partnership miles record, please contact the partner enterprise directly and provide the required documents within 180 days to ask for a correction.

    Mileage Overview

    • Members who opt in to “Member Benefits” messages will receive a monthly account summary notification if there is any change to their mileage balance.
    • You can manage your subscription preferences anytime in the Dynasty Member Portal and check your latest mileage balance.
