Handling Guidelines for cancellation or schedule change over 3 hours of CI/AE operated flights affected by Typhoon DANAS 5 Jul, 2025
Application CI/AE Flight cancellation, delay or advance over 3 hours Eligibility Passengers holding CI/AE valid tickets issued on/before 05JUL25 with confirmed bookings on affected flights, must submit applications on/before 06OCT25 (Change regulations are applicable to Dynasty Flyer Program Award Ticket). Change a. Within ticket validity, the fare/tax/booking service charge differences and reissue charge, including reissue service charge, shall be waived once provided that booking class/Carrier/Routing (Airport) remains unchanged and the new flight date is within 14 days prior to/after the affected flight. Flights operated by CI/AE shall not be rebooked to codeshare flights or other airlines flights. Ticket issued on CI website please contact the branch office or Call Center to change the booking. b. Within ticket validity, if the above item is not applicable, the difference of fare/tax caused by the change of the booking class/itinerary should be paid by the passenger. The booking service charge difference and reissue charge, including the reissue service charge, shall be waived once. Refund a. For totally unused tickets: Full refund can be performed without imposing any refund charge/penalty. b. For partially used tickets: Refund charge can be waived. c. Chargeable seats and Pre-paid excess baggage can be fully refunded. d. Original tickets issued via the CI website, call centers, and the branch offices can apply for a refund via CI Website. Group / Free/ Reduced fare Tickets Group / Free/ Reduced fare Tickets Free and Reduced fare tickets do not apply to the principles above, e.g. ID/AD/DM...etc. For group tickets, please contact your travel agency.

Effective June 19, 2025, China Airlines will begin code-sharing with Mandarin Airlines on Kaohsiung routes to and from Bangkok and Singapore. These routes will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft in Mandarin Airlines livery, providing greater convenience for travelers in southern Taiwan.
Additionally, effective May 28, 2025, China Airlines will operate the Kaohsiung–Singapore (CI757/CI758), Kaohsiung–Manila (CI711/CI712), and Kaohsiung–Bangkok ( Certain days of week ,CI839/CI840) services using aircraft featuring the Mandarin Airlines livery. -

China Airlines has activated the relevant protocols in response to the force majeure /extraordinary circumstance caused by the Indo-Pakistani conflict. To ensure the safety of all travelers, crew members, and aircraft within the area affected by this international situation, the following flight changes have been made after an expert assessment:
Flights CI61 (Taoyuan - Frankfurt) and CI73 (Taoyuan - Amsterdam) on May 6 were diverted to Bangkok where they received a change of crew and refueled before returning to Taipei. These flights will continue onto their original destination once a new route is planned to avoid the affected region. Flights CI67 (Taoyuan - Prague) and CI75 (Taoyuan - Rome) on May 6 have been canceled. Flight CI82 (London - Taoyuan) on May 6 was diverted to Prague where it received a change of crew and refueled before returning to Taoyuan. Flight CI81 (Taoyuan - London) on May 7 has been canceled.

Adjustments to the charge regulations for Unaccompanied Minors (UM) on CI/AE international sectors will take effect for tickets issued on or after May 8, 2025, as follows:
- Applicable Fares :
● Excluding RBD L, Unaccompanied Minors must purchase an adult ticket and also apply to mileage upgrade with confirm booking (RBD-I/P) and award ticket (RBD-O/Z/X).
● ID/AD/GE/RG/DM/CG discount ticket types are not applicable.
● The same rule applies when minors travel with an adult in a different cabin. - Changes/Cancellation Charge: Processed according to the relevant ticket regulations.

- If you have a ticket issued by a travel agency and wish to change your itinerary, please contact the original issuing travel agency for reissuance.
- Effective from April 23, 2025, if you have a ticket issued by a travel agency and wish to reissue at our ticketing counter, customer service center or airport, in addition to the original ticket change fee and fare/tax differences, an additional Reissue Service Charge TWD 2000 or equivalent USD 60 will be collected per ticket. (The charge is non-discountable and non-refundable.)
- Please confirm that your ticket matches the confirmed reservation before departure to avoid going to the airport counter without a confirmed booking, which may incur this fee.
