To keep African Swine Flu at bay, China Airlines adjusts its in-flight menu, applying a stringent selection process for ingredients

Published: Dec 21, 2018

China Airlines is stepping up its food safety measures in response to the continued threat posed by African Swine Flu. Pork (including those produced in Taiwan) was removed from the in-flight menu on all cross-strait flights as of November 26. No pork items will be served on the Hong Kong route as of December 23. All China Airlines in-flight meals use only certified meat products, so passengers can dine safely on-board.

In addition to in-flight quarantine videos, public announcements have been made on all global flights to Taiwan since Mid-October to remind travelers that bringing meat products into Taiwan is prohibited and violators may be fined of up TWD 1 million.
