China Airlines trials” IATA Travel Pass” Mobile App for COVID-19 Test Result. Passengers can present their digital certificates easily and without contact.

What is the IATA Travel Pass application?

The IATA Travel Pass application is a mobile application developed by IATA (International Air Transport Association) that enables you to create a digital version of your health pass on your mobile phone. You can securely share your passport details with the Test Institute so that they can verify your digital identity before sending back your electronic COVID-19 test result. The test result is then validated against the travel rules enabling you to show and share the digital certificate that you are fit to fly.

IMPORTANT NOTE:
Regardless of the IATA Travel Pass usage during this trial, please, bring a copy of your COVID test results (digital or printed) when you travel, as immigration officers or quarantine officers may require it. Also, any of the currently needed documents like the passport, visa documents when needed, etc.
