China Airlines A350 Delivers All New Flight Experience with Direct European Flights

Published: Mar 14, 2016

In December 2016, China Airlines will use the introduction of the new Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft to switch from stopover to direct flights for Amsterdam and Rome. This, along with existing direct flights to Vienna and Frankfurt, means all four China Airlines destinations in Europe will feature uninterrupted flights by new aircraft. The advantages offered by direct flights will also be used to strengthen cooperation with other airlines to reach other key European destinations such as Madrid. This will provide the most comprehensive flight network between Taiwan and Europe and an all-new, next-generation flight experience, making China Airlines the No.1 brand for direct flights from Taiwan to Europe.

China Airlines will take delivery of its first A350 in July and begin flying to Amsterdam, Rome and Vienna in December. Amsterdam and Rome will now be direct flights with no stopover, bringing Taiwan and Europe closer to each other. There will be three weekly flights to Vienna, four weekly flights to Amsterdam and two weekly flights to Rome. The Frankfurt route will also increase to seven flights a week in June for a total of 16 flights a week and at least two direct flights a day. This will attract more business travelers and tourists to visit Europe, further consolidating China Airlines as the leader in the Taiwan to Europe airline market.

To enhance the unique identity of the China Airlines brand, the cabins of China Airlines A350 aircraft on direct European flights will use the five senses of sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste to create a “European Style”. The contemporary, next-generation cabin design will complement the different ambient mood-lighting scenarios. Boarding/takeoff music will create a feeling of exclusive elegance; China Airlines is also introducing an unconventional feature by creating a bespoke cabin fragrance for greater brand identity. The scent will provoke passenger memories and impressions. The Sky Bistro will serve up Tapas and original cuisine in a European tavern format to create a youthful, fashionable, creative and sophisticated sensory concept. Consumers will be able to enjoy a novel European cultural experience during their time aboard.

The world’s latest Airbus A350-900 XWB (xtra-wide body) passenger aircraft is 70% built from advanced composite materials that reduce aircraft weight and increase safety; the latest Rolls-Royce engines effectively reduce carbon emissions by 25% on each trip; the cabin is far more spacious than traditional aircraft and the external noise is also greatly reduced as well. The aircraft has been praised for being the “most high-tech, most energy-efficient, most eco-friendly, most spacious and least noisy” in the industry. The result is an eco-friendly, healthy, fun and comfortable flight experience. (2016/03/14)
