"Souvenirs" became a trending topic after China Airlines aired its all new 2019 "# WhatTravelBringsYou " commercial on YouTube at 4 p.m. on June 14. The video itself surpassed 4 million views within 24 hours of being uploaded. At noon on 6/16, the video had clocked up 4.5 million views - a new record for China Airlines' annual commercials.
The 2019 China Airlines brand commercial gives holiday souvenirs a different spin as reminders of every journey. As people's views on travel change, how they travel and the level of immersion are changing as well. People no longer just tick the boxes and look at the views when they travel. They want a life experience that can only be found overseas, and these intangible experiences are the best reminders of each trip.
China Airlines' brand commercials have enjoyed strong popularity and success among the general public in recent years. #TravelWithParents from 2017 evoked memories of traveling with parents as a child and reminded people to travel with their parents to live up to the family values of being together; in 2018, #TheTripYouPromised focused on promised trips that were never made that you are suddenly reminded of at some point in your life; this year, # WhatTravelBringsYou touted a new concept in holiday souvenirs by suggesting that every journey may bring something new into your life - be it new knowledge, new experiences, or even a whole new life. No matter what, you need to get out in order to discover and to explore!
