China Airlines and KLM to Offer Daily Direct Flights to Amsterdam

Published: Nov 28, 2016

Go see the Windmill Village and tulips anytime it takes your fancy! China Airlines has announced that it is partnering with Royal Dutch Airlines (KLM) to expand cooperation on code-share flights to provide daily direct flights on the Taipei-Amsterdam route from January 9, 2017, onwards. Travelers will be able to connect to other destinations such as London, Manchester, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris as well. Ticket bookings are now accepted.

China Airlines will begin operating 4 direct flights to Amsterdam in December. Not having to transit through Bangkok will reduce flying time by 4 hours to 14 hours. From January 8, 2017, onwards, China Airlines will introduce the all new Airbus A350 for direct flights to Amsterdam. The code-share agreement with KLM established in 2012 will also be expanded to provide one Taipei-Amsterdam direct flight every day.

China Airlines will switch to all direct flights for Amsterdam, Vienna, Rome and Frankfurt in the early December. Future plans call for closer cooperation with KLM, Czech Airlines and Air Europa on code-share flights. Passengers will be able to take connecting flights from Amsterdam to London, Manchester, Barcelona, Madrid and Paris; alternatively, they may continue on to Belgrade and Madrid from Frankfurt. The cooperation with allied airlines will cover 6 European destinations and 97 code-share flights each week, providing Taiwanese passengers traveling to and from Europe with the most comprehensive network while also consolidating China Airlines’ leading position in the Taiwan-Europe market.
