U.S. Citizens, nationals and legal permanent residents can pay to enroll in the program directly while Taiwanese travelers are required to pay to enroll in the Global Entry program. Travelers can apply by submitting their application to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website (https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov
) along with uploaded scan files of a Police Criminal Record Certificate in Taiwan, passport, Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA)/U.S. visa and two types of photographic identification. Once they receive their 9-digit PASS ID, they can enjoy the same service.
Pre-approved travelers can give their registration details to a travel agency or China Airlines staff at the time of booking or when checking in at the airport to enjoy expedited security screening. In the future, it will be possible to enter the PASS ID directly into the online booking form when purchasing a ticket online.
China Airlines is committed to providing the best flying experience and customer satisfaction through continued improvements in product competitiveness. By joining the TSA Pre✓®, pre-approved travelers departing from the U.S. on China Airlines flights will be able to use the designated security screening lanes without having to remove belts, jackets, footwear, laptops and liquids (regulatory limits remain the same: each bottle must not exceed 100ml and total volume must not exceed 1L). The expedited security screening process avoids the inconvenience of long queues. (2019/02/26)
