Taiwan-based China Airlines Partners with Da-Wan Yakiniku on New Exclusive Menu
Published: Mar 26, 2026China Airlines, a Taiwan-based carrier, is partnering with Da-Wan Yakiniku, one of the top yakiniku restaurant brands in Taiwan, to bring the taste of traditional charcoal-fired yakiniku to the skies. Starting on April 1, travelers in all classes on regional routes departing from Taiwan, including Southeast Asia, Cross-Strait, and selected Korean routes, will be treated to a feast developed by expert chefs 30,000 feet above the ground.
Da-Wan Yakiniku Dining Restaurant in Taiwan is popular among discerning gourmands. The cuisine is defined by its three core values of intensity, temperature, and time. At Da-Wan, no detail is left to chance, bringing out the flavor in every perfect slice of yakiniku.
Da-wan's signature dishes also served as its inspiration for the creation of new menu offerings for every cabin class exclusive to China Airlines flights. In Premium Business Class and Business Class, the Mizuna and Scallop Salad with Sesame Dressing is drizzled with Da-wan's special sesame sauce to wake up the taste buds. The main of Braised Beef Short Ribs Served with Sesame Steamed Rice features tender beef with a touch of garlic paste to bring out the flavors, creating a flying surf and turf combination that cannot be missed.
In Premium Economy Class, the Mizuna and Shrimp Salad with Sesame Dressing with classic sesame sauce offers a refreshing appetizer to start the meal. This is followed by a main of Creamy Garlic Beef Short Ribs with Sesame Steamed Rice, which features mouthwatering salty fragrance. For Economy Class, Mizuna Salad with Sesame Dressing whets the appetite before the heady aroma of Teriyaki Beef with Steamed Rice fills the air. Teriyaki Pork with Steamed Rice may also be offered depending on the time period. On certain routes, Creamy Garlic Chicken Thigh with Steamed Rice is served in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class on selected routes as well to give travelers a chance to enjoy the taste of expertly prepared yakinku.
New Seasonal Co-Branded Menu Released
The all-new co-branded menu with Da-wan Yakiniku is just the beginning. China Airlines continues to collaborate with other star-rated brands to develop new menu offerings. For the upcoming quarter, T+T will introduce Boston Lobster and Slow-Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek with Yellow Curry Sauce in Premium Business Class, Rendang-Style Slow-Cooked Wagyu Beef Cheek with Chicken Rice in Premium Economy Class, and Rendang Chicken with Chicken Rice in Economy Class. The Southeast Asian style cuisine with their rich tapestry of spices can be found on long-haul routes from Taiwan to Europe, North America, and Oceania.
Little Tree Food's plant-based cuisine has been well-received since launch. The menu has been updated with Spinach and Wild Mushroom Quiche with French Scrambled Eggs in Premium Business Class, Roasted Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes with Cream of Corn in Premium Economy Class, and Salted Egg with Pumpkin and Cheese Conchiglie in Economy Class. A combination of roasting, slow cooking and rich sauces are employed to present a Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal that warms the heart and fills the stomach.
Moon Moon Food is once again serving up the taste of home through Shrimp Wonton and Scallop Chicken Noodle Soup in Premium Business Class and Business Class on select regional routes. Later in the year, classic Taiwanese flavors such as Slow-cooked Scallop, Chicken, and Squid Noodle Soup with Sea Snail and Leeks as well as Sesame Oil Pork Jowl Vermicelli Noodle Soup will be presented to travelers
Past menu items popular with travelers created by Les Palais and Mipon are still available through the online pre-order system for Business Class. Yang Ming Spring restaurant continues to prepare delicious meals for vegetarian travelers based on the philosophy of local sourcing and sustainability.
