CAL Introducing Online Check-in for All Travelers from 6/22 to Enhance Quarantine Protection

게시: 2020년 06월 19일

China Airlines, Taiwan’s largest airlines, is remaining vigilant on the quarantine front despite the easing of Taiwan’s quarantine measures. From June 22 onwards, online self-service check-in will be introduced for all travelers to effectively reduce the amount of time they need to spend at the airport. All travelers will need to complete their check-in process through the airline’s official website or official mobile app before arriving at the airport. Airport kiosks will be temporarily suspended in Taiwan to avoid repeated contact with travelers. The airline is working together with travelers to make travel safer.

Passengers can check-in with their smart phone or tablet from 48 hours before their scheduled departure to 80 minutes before the flight takes off. They can also select their preferred seats at the same time. Once when passengers have the reservation code/ticket number and the necessary travel documents such as passport and visa in hand, just fill out the details and the boarding pass can be printed out in 5 minutes. Passengers can also use the electronic boarding pass function on mobile for extra convenience and to reduce carbon emissions.

Passengers that have completed their online check-in can present their boarding pass and passport at the China Airlines check-in counter or at Taoyuan Airport MRT’s Taipei (A1) In-Town Check-in counter for hassle-free travel. If there is no checked luggage, simply go through Immigration and be at the boarding gate 40 minutes before the flight.

China Airlines has continued to follow the strict quarantine prevention and protection measures set by the Central Epidemic Command Center since the start of the epidemic. Travelers must wear face masks upon arrival at the airport and arrive early to have their temperature taken before boarding. Proper enforcement of all protective measures helps to protect the health of travelers and the general public alike. (2020/06/22)
