The 2019 National Day Float Parade to be held on Double Tenth (Oct. 10th) is shaping up to be a grand display in front of the Presidential Office Building. China Airlines is honored to be the only airline represented at the festivities for the third consecutive year. The National Day theme this year is Taiwan Forward and as this year also coincides with the 60th anniversary of China Airlines, The carrier has chosen the theme of “China Airlines: A Fresh Start at 60 x Taiwan Forward” to represent the continuous pushes for sustainability in the airline industry, as well as its commitment to making Taiwan the foundation of our global aspirations.

The design of the China Airlines float for National Day this year is centered around the A350 60th Anniversary Liveried Aircraft to symbolize leadership in progress. Popular landmarks such as Taipei 101, the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, and the Tokyo Tower are also complemented by dolls dressed in the traditional costumes of Germany, the Netherlands, South Korea and Malaysia to emphasize the corporate culture of “from Taiwan to the world” at China Airlines. The number 60 in the red and blue colors of the company not only stand for a fresh start with “Go” and the endless possibilities of the “∞” symbol. It also celebrates National Day and the 60th anniversary of China Airlines. Last and not least, it captures the China Airlines philosophy of connecting with the world and moving forward with Taiwan.

The Plastic Art Design Department of Day-Yeh University was once again invited to design and fabricate this year’s float. Indigenous flowers such as the Peony Chrysanthemum symbolizing wealth, the elegant Angelona, the colorful Jungle Flame and the romantic Baby's Breath are complemented by vibrant green Ivy and Golden Pothos to form a visual feast of colors that delight the eye. On the float are young, energetic performers and four cabin attendants to celebrate the National Day and present their best wishes.

China Airlines hopes that the motifs aboard the National Day float will communicate the unique culture of Taiwan to the world once more. It also hopes more travelers around the world will be inspired to explore Taiwan. After the parade takes place on the morning of October 10, the float will be on public display at the Democracy Boulevard in Liberty Square until October 20. Everyone is welcome to come view the float. (2019/10/07)
