Qualification for Membership Upgrade

A. Qualification for Membership Upgrade

Membership upgrade is based on Status Points. If a member meets the following two criteria within any rolling 12 consecutive calendar months during current membership tier:
  1. Accumulate at least 50% of the required Status Points from China Airlines (CI) or Mandarin Airlines (AE) self-operated international flights.
  2. Reach the total Status Points required for membership upgrade.
the member will be immediately upgraded to the next membership level. The new membership will be valid for two years.

QualificationAnyone at two years of age or above is eligible to become a Dynasty Flyer Member.
Applicant under 18 years old must register a legal guardian, who must also be a member.
Dynasty members are eligible to be upgraded to Gold member if the requirements below are met.Gold members are eligible to be upgraded to Emerald member if the requirements below are met.Emerald members are eligible to be upgraded to Paragon member if the requirements below are met.

B. Qualification for Membership Renewal

Membership renewal is based on Status Points. If a member meets the following two criteria within the validity period of current membership tier :
  1. Accumulate at least 50% of the required Status Points from China Airlines (CI) or Mandarin Airlines (AE) self-operated international flights.
  2. Reach the total Status Points required for membership renewal.
then the membership will be automatically renewed on the 1st day of the following month after the current tier expires. The renewed membership will be valid for two years.

Important Notes

Important Notes:

  1. Qualification for Membership
    • If the renewal requirement is not met, a Paragon member will automatically revert to Emerald member, while an Emerald member to Gold member and a Gold member to Dynasty member. The card number will remain unchanged.
    • Once a member’s tier changes, Status Points accumulated under the previous tier will not count toward future upgrades. Only Status Points earned within 12 consecutive months under the current tier will be considered. For example:
      When evaluating a Gold member for upgrade to Emerald, Status Points earned as a Dynasty member will not be counted.
      When evaluating an Emerald member for upgrade to Paragon, Status Points earned as a Gold member will not be counted.
    • If a member’s personal information (including membership tier) and mileage records remain unchanged for three consecutive years, and the account contains no valid mileage or benefits, the membership will be automatically deactivated without prior notice.

  2. Rollover Points
    • If a Dynasty or Gold member earns more Status Points than required for an upgrade, the excess points will be carried over as a “Rollover Points” for the next upgrade calculation.
    • If a Paragon member earns more Status Points than required for renewal, the excess points will be carried over as a “Rollover Points” for the next renewal calculation.
    • Rollover Points counts only toward total Status Points, and does not count toward the required points from China Airlines / Mandarin Airlines self-operated flights.
    • Example:

  3. Membership Card Issuance
    • Membership cards are issued in different formats based on your membership tier:

  4. Membership Card & Tag Reissue Guide for Emerald & Paragon Members
    • Members who renew or upgrade to Emerald or Paragon tiers will receive an exclusive leather baggage tag set. If you need a reissue, please refer to the following options:
