Membership Privileges & Obligations

  1. The membership card is non-transferable, and each member can only have one membership number.

  2. Violation of regulations or procedures or submission of falsified information will result in termination of membership and membership benefits such as accrued mileage and status points. China Airlines reserves the right to prosecute for illegal gains in such violations. If a member obtains any loss as a result of an oversight or error of this program, China Airlines' liability is limited to the compensation equivalent of such a loss.

  3. Members are fully responsible for paying any service charge or tax for awards in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. The award cannot be changed to another award when it has been transferred. Please confirm the award type and the nominee’s information. Member must have the consent of the endowed nominee to cancel a transferred award. A nominee can cancel the transferred award and the mileages will be returned to the nominator as long as they are still valid on the day of cancellation.

  4. Members should not use a hotel or travel agency's address or e-mail address as their point of contact. Member may apply data correction online by logging in China Airlines Dynasty Member webpage (excluding North America area), and to cope with the personal information protection law, member must fill out application form and provide photocopy of passports and letter of attorney if not submitted by the member personally fill out authorization Letter for changing ID number, birthday, English/Chinese name; members may also apply at China Airlines downtown office for member data correction. China Airlines shall not be responsible for any loss or delay of mailing due to incorrect address or e-mail address.

  5. China Airlines has the right to limit the number of passengers using cabin upgrades or free award tickets on each flight.

  6. China Airlines reserves the right to adjust or terminate Dynasty Flyer Program and its related benefits at any time and retains full ownership of the membership card. Members must exercise their rights in accordance with the program rules and regulations. The Courtesy Gold Card is an exclusive benefit for Paragon members and may only be used by the designated family member or friend. It may not be transferred, sold, leased, or pledged in any form, nor may any transaction-related information be distributed by the member or through any third party on any platform or through any medium.

  7. If a member engages in any of the following acts, China Airlines may terminate the membership status at any time, with or without prior notice. If China Airlines’ rights or interests are harmed, the member shall also be liable for compensation.
    • Members must not engage in the following acts and must compensate of the equivalent cash for the redeemed or used awards/miles in case of violation.
      ① Accumulating miles through impersonation or other fraudulent methods.
      ② Conducting or authorizing others to conduct the sale, gifting, rental, transfer, or pledging of miles, awards, or other benefits through non–China Airlines official websites or any other platforms, nor may the member distribute such transaction-related information personally or through others.
    • Unreasonable demands for undue privileges or failure to abide by flight cabin or airport lounge regulations, which create problems to China Airlines' staff.
    • Verbal and/or physical behavior believed to endanger flight safety or infringe on the rights of other passengers.
    • False or improper statements that damage China Airlines' reputation.
    • Violation of any terms of General Conditions of Carriage.
    • Other actions in general that involve improper use or abuse of membership privileges.
    • Mem bership will be terminated if members are deceased.

  8. The Courtesy Gold Card is a non-saleable benefit exclusively for Paragon members and may only be used by the designated family member or friend. It may not be transferred, sold, leased, or pledged in any form, nor may any transaction-related information be distributed on any platform or through any medium. If a member violates the above provisions or engages in any other improper use or abuse of membership benefits, China Airlines may terminate the member’s membership in accordance with the membership terms and reserves the right to pursue compensation for any related damages.

  9. Membership will be automatically inactive without notice if members do not redeem miles for any award and there is no update in mileage record and personal data (including membership tier) within 3 years.

  10. When membership is terminated, all accrued mileage, status points and related membership benefits, whether already redeemed or not (including Paragon Complimentary Gold Card), will also be terminated without notice.

  11. Partnership mileage was developed as part of the Dynasty Flyer Program to increase members' mileage-earning opportunities. China Airlines is not involved with the pricing and operational procedures of any of its partners. In the case of a transactional dispute, members should contact the participating partner directly. The content of the partnership is based on the contract that China Airlines signs with such partners and is subject to change without notice.

  12. All privileges relating to members' mileage, redemption for cabin upgrades and award tickets, status points and benefits are conducted in accordance with the rules on China Airlines' website.
