China Airlines is a participating airline of the TSA Pre✓® program of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Travelers approved by the TSA Pre✓® , U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI program may use the TSA Pre✓® service. For China Airlines flights departing from the United States, eligible travelers may use designated lanes for security screening and do not need to remove their shoes, belts, jackets, laptops or liquids during screening. Travelers will be able to enjoy an expedited security screening process and spend less time waiting in line.
TSA Pre✓® is an expedited security screening service managed and operated by the TSA. When departing from the United States, eligible travelers will be able to enjoy an expedited security screening process and do not have to remove their shoes, belts, light jackets, laptops or liquids. You can spend less time waiting in line for security check.
TSA Pre✓® is operated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Citizens, nationals, and legal permanent residents of the United States may apply for TSA Pre✓® directly and obtain their Known Traveler Number (KTN). Foreign travelers must first receive approval from a Trusted Traveler Program, which includes the CBP Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI programs. Eligible individuals will receive a 9-digit PASS ID that serves similar purposes as a KTN.

Upon the verification of their identities, travelers can provide their KTN/PASS ID to the travel agency that will be booking a flight for them, or one of our staff members when booking a flight. Travelers may also inform our staff of their KTN/PASS ID when checking in at the airport to enjoy the expedited security screening service. We also provide the option for travelers to enter their KTN when purchasing their tickets from our website.
If you have been approved and can use TSA Pre✓® , a TSA Pre✓® indicator will be printed on the boarding pass by your name. This means you have been approved to use the TSA Pre✓® service.
