Million-Dollar Jobs on Offer! China Airlines Recruiting 100 Pilots in 2018

China Airlines, voted in 2017 as one of the top employers by the "Cheers" magazine, announced on 3/3 that it plans to recruit 100 pilots (including 40 cadets) to meet the operational needs of its fleets. Pilot recruitment events will be held at 7 universities throughout Taiwan started on 3/3. Young people with a passion for flying and the aviation industry are welcome to apply.

The first campus recruitment event hosted by China Airlines this year kicked off at the National Taiwan University Job Fair on 3/3. Current pilots from China Airlines were on hand to talk about their flying careers including the application and training process as well as actual flying experience. The information helped students plan their future careers and encouraged them to pursue their dream of taking to the skies. Further pilot campus recruitment events will be held at National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University, National Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University, and National Sun Yat-sen University in the near future.

China Airlines has been introducing a brand new long-haul fleet of 777 and A350 passenger aircraft in recent years. All ten 777 aircraft have now been delivered while all fourteen A350 aircraft is scheduled to be delivered by October this year. The new fleet is now employed on regional routes such as Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai and Seoul, as well as on the Europe, North America and Oceania routes. In addition to providing a better passenger experience and driving the fleet revitalization effort, they have also enabled the continued expansion of the flying network and increase in flights. China Airlines is therefore actively looking for new, talented people to join its team of pilots.

To apply for the China Airlines cadet pilot program, the applicant must provide a valid score report from within the last 2 years showing a TOEIC score of over 750 (listening 400/ reading 350) (please also the score reports for speaking and writing), a TOEFL iBT test score of over 83 (listening 21), or a IELTS score over 5.5. Cadet pilots that pass the selection process will be sent to a professional flying school at the company's expense to undergo 10 to 12 months of basic flight training. Upon their return, they will undergo 12 months of civil aviation pre-training and type training; once they complete the 2 years of training and evaluation they will quality as co-pilot and earn an average monthly salary of up to NT$220,0000.
