Q. What information should I prepare when I make a reservation?
A. Please provide
(1)your travel date, destination, booking class
(2)your English name (same as in your passport)
(3)your contact phone numbers (home, office or mobile)
(4)ticket number, if you have a ticket in hand. .

Q. Do I need to reconfirm my onward or return flight upon arrival?
A. Reconfirmation is not required if your schedule remains unchanged and your local contact has been provided.

Q. Through what channels can I make a reservation or change itinerary?
A. You may contact our reservation office through telephone, fax or ask your travel agent to do it. Any reservation change should be made through the original booking channel. Besides, our company also provides an online reservation service at web site for our Dynasty Flyer members.

Q. May I book your flights through Internet?
A. China Airlines On-Line Booking system provides you the following: making an online booking yourself, ticketing within twenty-four hours after you have made the online booking, inquiring about and canceling your booking, and entering your ticket number for an on-line booking.
You are welcome to book your flights online whether you have purchased your tickets or not. To make a reservation online, please go to "On-Line Booking" and then click on “Booking".
The booking function for no ticket purchased is currently applicable to departure fom 11 cities as follows: Amsterdam?Delhi?Hong Kong?Honolulu?Kaohsiung?Los Angeles?New York?San Francisco? Singapore?Taipei and Vancouver. We are going to include more cities in the list in 2004.
The booking function for ticket purchased is applicable on all China Airlines international routes.

Q. If I don't have a local contact, what should I do?
A. We recommend you to contact our reservation office for updated flight information prior to your flight departure.

Q. What is a record locator?
A. The record locator number can save your time when working with China Airlines to find your record in our system.

Q. If I decide not to travel or to change my itenery, do I need to cancel my reservation?
A. We welcome you to call us to cancel any reservation you do not plan to use. Thus we can keep our flights open for those passengers who need to travel.

Q. I am holding a China Airlines ticket. What should I pay special attention when making a reservation?
A. Please make sure that your reservation is in accordance with your ticket's validity, restrictions and booking class to avoid paying additional fees at the airport.

Q. .When should I purchase my ticket after making a reservation?
A. Please issue your ticket before the ticketing time limits as advised by the reservation agent.

Q. .I am making a travel plan for next year. When can I book my seat?
A. All of our schedule flights are available for booking 340 days prior to flight departure

Q. .Are there any restrictions on pregnant women traveling by air?
A. We accept passengers with pregnancies up to 32 weeks. As for pregnancies over 32 weeks, a medical certificate and a release form are required at airport check-in counter.

Q. Do you offer unaccompanied minor service?
A. A We accept unaccompanied (UM) under the following conditions:
Age Group Acceptability
Under 3 Months Not acceptable
Over 3 Months but Under 3 years Each UM requires an attendant. Reservations must be 5 days in advance.
Over 3 Years but Under 5 Years Attendant is required. Up to four UMs In this age group may be accepted forEach attendant engaged. Reservations must be 5 days in advance.
Over 5 Years but Under 12Years Attendant is not required.Reservation should be made 72 hours in advance.
The parent or legal guardian must complete a "Consent & Release for Carriage of Minors" when issuing ticket at our ticketing office. For more detail, please contact our reservation staff.

A. Yes, we offer wheelchair services. For detail , please contact our reservation office for pre-arrangement..

Q. Do you have in flight special meal service?
A. Yes, we offer special meal service to certain passengers for religious or medical reasons. For detail, please check with our reservation staff.

Q. Can I make seat-selection upon flight reservation?
A. Yes, we offer seat-select service to our first-class and business-class passengers and we also offer this service to the following categories of passengers in economy class :
-Paragon Card/Emerald Card/Gold Card holders and their companies
-Disabled passengers
-Unaccompanied minors
-Passengers aged over 70
-Passengers travelling with an infant

Q. Do you offer hotel booking and car rental service when making reservation?
A. As a courtesy to our customers, we provide these services.

Q. Can you make reservation for other airlines flights for me?
A. Yes, we can book other airlines space for you when making China Airlines' flight reservation.
