China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines Launch Dragon Boat Flights to Mainland China

Flights from Taipei, Kaohsiung to Shanghai Begin on June 15

June 07, 2007, Taipei, Taiwan –China Airlines and its subsidiary Mandarin Airlines will launch Dragon Boat Festival charter flights directly to mainland China, fromJune 15 to 19.A total of four return charter flights to Shanghai from both Taipei and Kaohsiung have been arranged.Passengers on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines can use their tickets interchangeably on both airlines, and they can combine scheduled flights with the charter flights.

A Boeing 747-400 aircraft will be used for the charters, all of which will provide two-class service. With the required mileage, or surcharge, Dynasty Flyer members can upgrade from Business Class to First Class seats, or from Economy Class to Dynasty (Business) Class.Dynasty Flyer members can accumulate mileage on these charter flights.

The charter flights are now open for customers who wish to make reservations. Passengers from Taiwan region can reserve their flights by calling the China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines Call Centers directly (Tel: 02- 27151212 and 02- 27171230 ), or they can make reservations through designated travel agencies. In addition, passengers with scheduled tickets can switch those tickets to charter flights without an administration charge, and have only to pay the price difference.
