Take the 2013 On-line Survey and Become Eligible for Valuable Prizes
Customer feedback is the key to continuous improvement. Thus, from January 1, 2013, to better reward our customers’ time spent on in-flight surveys, we have upgraded the prizes in our lucky draw. First prize will be two round-trip economy tickets to or from Taipei on China Airlines’ flights, while 51 passengers from each of First Class, Business Class, and Economy Class will receive bonus mileage. Additionally, at the end of the year, 100 passengers will receive the China Airlines 2014 calendar.


Moon Festival Promotion with 10% Discount on In-Flight Duty Free Items
To celebrate this year’s Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, from September 1 through October 31 China Airlines is offering a 10% discount (not in conjunction with other promotional offers, except mileage offset program) on in-flight duty free items (except tobacco and some selected items). During the same period, Paragon, Emerald and Corporate Flyer Card members may enjoy a 19% discount by presenting their membership cards. We welcome you to shop online for duty-free products before departure.


Free Wi-Fi for China Airlines Passengers Visiting Taiwan

Effective from now until December 31, 2013, customers who purchase e-tickets via the China Airlines website or buy Dynasty Package travel can enjoy free Wi-Fi from Chunghwa Telecom (CHT) for a 6-hour or 48-hour continuous period in Taiwan. Free Wi-Fi use can be redeemed via the e-ticket confirmation code or Dynasty package coupon code, which will remain valid until December 31, 2014. For more promotion details, please visit:

Earn Miles with Ctrip Hotel Bookings
Effective from August 5, 2013, through October 31, 2013, Dynasty Flyer members can earn 2,000 miles for every CNY2,000 spent on Ctrip hotel bookings. Concurrently, Dynasty Flyer members can also earn basic mileage awards of 2 miles for every CNY10 spent when booking hotels via Ctrip.

Mandarin Airlines to Introduce B737-800 Aircraft
Starting form May 20, 2013, Mandarin Airlines introduces B737-800 aircraft to service on Taichung-Ho Chi Minh City and Taichung-Hong Kong routes on which provide a comfortable and intimate Business Class service to our distinguished customers. China Airlines to Resume Direct Flight on Taipei-Honolulu Route
Beginning on June 2, 2013, China Airlines resumes non-stop service on Taipei-Honolulu route with two flights a week. Members may enjoy mileage accrual and redemption benefits on newly launched flights.


China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines to Launch Taipei-Urumqi/Lijiang/Pusan Route
Beginning on June 25, 2013, China Airlines will commence service on Taipei-Urumqi route with three flights a week. Beginning on June 26, 2013, Mandarin Airlines will commence service on Taipei-Lijiang route with three flights a week. Beginning on September 1, 2013, China Airlines will inaugurate Taipei-Pusan route with six flights a week. Members may enjoy mileage accrual and redemption benefits on newly launched flights.


Mandarin Airlines to Launch Taipei-Ishigaki Route
Beginning on July 3, 2013, Mandarin Airlines commenced service on Taipei-Ishigaki route with two flights a week. Members may enjoy mileage accrual and redemption benefits on newly launched flights.


China Airlines to Launch Tainan-HongKong Route
Beginning on July 18, 2013, China Airlines inaugurates Tainan-HongKong route with three flights a week. Members may enjoy mileage accrual and redemption benefits on newly launched flights.


Gold Members Allowed Higher Credit Card Limit for In-Fight Duty-free Items

Starting from September 16, 2012, Gold members may enjoy a higher credit card limit up to USD500 when purchasing inflight duty-free items on board, while Paragon and Emerald members a credit card limit up to USD2,000. 


Buy Miles for Immediate Cabin Upgrade

Members who take China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines international flights departing from Taoyuan, Taipei Songshan, and Kaohsiung international airports and have a shortfall of up to 5,000 miles in order to redeem cabin upgrades can purchase those miles at airport counters for immediate cabin upgrades.      


Redeem Mileage towards Excess Baggage Fees


Members travelling on China Airlines’ self-operated flights can redeem mileage as payment towards excess baggage fees. Fees are calculated based on weight or pieces of luggage in increments of 1 kg (by weight system) or 1 piece (by piece system). Reminder on Ticketing Deadlines to All Members
To avoid any travel inconvenience caused by cancelled reservations, China Airlines would like to remind all members to have tickets issued and advise ticket numbers before the ticketing deadline attached to their reservations. China Airlines cannot hold reservations that exceed the ticketing deadline. China Airlines appreciates your understanding and cooperation on this matter.
20.China Airlines to Change Redemption Booking Class
Effective on June 10, 2013 for travel on/after October 27, 2013, China Airlines starts to replace the current upgrade and award ticket booking classes on First Class as well as Economy Class. On First Class, the "U/E" booking classes for upgrade and award ticket travel will be replaced by "A" class. On Economy Class, the "S" booking class for award ticket travel will be changed into "X" booking class.


China Airlines to Change Mileage Accrual for Booking Classes
Effective from October 27, 2013, based on travel date, China Airlines starts to change the mileage accrual for A and T booking classes. Members travel on “A” booking class with award tickets will receive no mileage and will receive mileage according to the ticket class used if members are using upgrade awards. Members travel on “T” booking class will receive 80% of actual mileage.


SkyTeam Partners to Change Mileage Accrual and Redemption Booking Class
Starting now, SkyTeam Partners will change the mileage accrual percentage for CI members' traveling as well as the booking class for redemption on their flights. Please refer to China Airlines website or contact the Service Hotline for details. >> more


Mileage Accumulated from 2010 to be Valid for 36 Months
We’d like to remind you that the mileage you accumulated in 2010 will be bearing a 36-month validity and be expired by Monthly Basis since 2013. For example, the mileage received in January 2010 will be valid until January 31, 2013 (Taipei Time). Due to a system upgrade is conducting during this period, the mileage for January through March in 2010 will receive extra validity until March 31, 2013 (Taipei Time). Please refer to China Airlines website at '' Dynasty Flyer Services '' page or contact the Service Hotline for your mileage details. We suggest you well plan your redemption in advance in order to enjoy your mileage in time.
