Effective from October 1 till December 31, 2012, for celebrating Avis launches local car rental service in Taiwan. Avis offers extra bonus 100,000 miles for 10 loyalty Dynasty Flyer members. All self-drive rentals at all participating locations in Taiwan between October 1 and December 31, 2012 will be eligible for the lucky draw, which will take place in the end of February 2013. In addition, Dynasty Flyer members will earn double or triple miles when renting a car from Avis in many districts of the world. |

8. | China Airlines Aligns the FFP Partnership with Xiamen Airlines (MF) |

Effective from November 21, 2012, the day Xiamen Airlines joining as the 19th member carrier of the SkyTeam, China Airlines began the bilateral FFP partnership with Xiamen Airlines. DFP members are able to earn and redeem mileage on contracted Xiamen Airlines flights with effect from November 15, 2012. 9. | China Airlines Completes Retrofit of its B747-400 Fleet |

China Airlines (CAL) brought nine retrofitted Boeing 747-400 aircraft upgraded with all-new cabins back into service at the end of October! To provide passengers with a more spacious and comfortable journey, CAL has retrofitted all cabin facilities including all-new ergonomic seats, and an advanced video system in all classes. Six of the aircraft feature two-class cabins with business and economy classes, while the remaining three are configured with the additional of a first class cabin, making CAL the only Taiwanese airline to offer first class amenities and services. Combined with expertly developed in-flight meals and services, flying on CAL will no longer be mere flying but will be a customized, relaxing entertainment experience in the skies. >> more |

10. | China Airlines to Offer Daily Flights to Auckland |

Effective from October 28, 2012, China Airlines will extend its Taipei-Sydney roundtrip service to Auckland based on its optimism over New Zealand’s tourism market and ties between Taiwan, New Zealand, and Australia. China Airlines will add four weekly flights to Auckland to its Taipei-Sydney route (CI051/CI052). Combined with the existing three weekly Taipei-Brisbane-Auckland flights (CI053/CI054), China Airlines will offer daily flights between Taipei and Auckland, giving customers more options and convenience. >> more |

11. | Higher Credit Card Limit for Gold Members with Inflight Duty-free Items |

Starting from September 16, 2012, Gold members may enjoy a higher credit card limit up to USD500 when purchasing inflight duty-free items on board, while Paragon and Emerald members a credit card limit up to USD2,000. |

12. | Buy Miles for Immediate Cabin Upgrade |

Members who take China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines international flights departing from Taoyuan, Taipei Songshan, and Kaohsiung international airports and have a shortfall of up to 5,000 miles in order to redeem cabin upgrades can purchase those miles at airport counters for immediate cabin upgrades. >> more |

13. | Redeem Mileage Towards Excess Baggage Fees |

Members travelling on China Airline’ self-operated flights can redeem mileage as payment towards excess baggage fees. Fees are calculated based on weight or pieces of luggage in increments of 1 kg (by weight system) or 1 piece (by piece system). 14. | Qualification Updates for Membership Advancement/Renewal |

Starting from October 1, 2012, China Airlines will extend the current promotion on reduced qualification requirements for membership advancement/renewal. The promotion was initiated earlier to celebrate China Airlines' joining in the SkyTeam alliance.
