* The required mileage for MU free ticket award is calculated
between two points basis. If the itinerary includes a stopover
or transfer, the mileage required must be added together.
Example: passenger flies from HongKong to Shanghai, transfers
to Chongqing on Economy class round-trip ticket. Assuming
that neither flight involves blackout dates, it needs 40,000
miles for a round-trip ticket between Hong-Kong and Shanghai,
and another 40,000 miles for a round-trip ticket between
Shanghai and Chongqing, therefore, the total mileage required
for the round-trip in the journey from HongKong to Chongqing
via Shanghai would be 80,000 miles.
