DFP members will be able to earn and redeem mileage on contracted Delta Air Lines flights. (The Northwest Airlines’ WorldPerks is merged into Delta Air Lines’ SkyMiles on/after October 1, 2009.)
Mileage Accumulation
When flying with a qualifying fare on a regularly scheduled flight operated by Delta Air Lines (charter flights and co-share flights operated by other carriers are excluded), DFP members may accumulate the flown mileage on their Dynasty Flyer accounts. (Please check with reservation for eligible Delta Air Lines flight range.)
To ensure the DL mileage is accumulated correctly, DFP members should advise their membership numbers to both CI and DL personnel when making reservation, ticketing, and checking-in at airport counters. The mileage will be credited to member's account within 4 weeks. Members need to keep tickets and boarding passes as a receipt until your mileage is credited to your account.

The Mileage on Delta Air Lines flights can be combined with other DFP miles in a member's account for award redemption, but cannot be counted toward qualification for Gold, Emerald or Paragon membership.
The flown mileage of a flight can only be credited to either CI or DL (SkyMiles) frequent flyer program. Once credited, the mileage will not be transferred to another program.
Mileage Correction
If you have any questions regarding your mileage with DL flights, please contact DFP Service Hotline and provide the boarding passes and photocopies of tickets as well as membership card number within 6 months of flight's departure. China Airlines will amend your mileage within 2 weeks after verification with DL. Please keep all receipts until your missing mileage has been credited to your DFP accounts.

The DL/NW award tickets issued before November 1, 2009 will remain valid until the expiry date. DL will honor those award tickets with either a DL or a NW ticket designator.
Redemption Procedures
- DFP members should make sure they have sufficient mileage for redeeming Delta Air Lines free tickets.
- b. When requesting Delta Air Lines free ticket awards, DFP members must confirm their reservations in advance by calling China Airlines reservation and inform that they are requesting Delta Air Lines free award travels. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the reservation and denial of ticket issuance for their awards. (Please check with reservation for eligible Delta Air Lines flight range.)
- After reservation, members may proceed to China Airlines downtown ticketing office for award ticket issuance before ticket time limit. (Airport counters do not issue or re-issue award tickets.)
Points to Note
- Ticket holders are responsible for all applicable taxes, federal inspection fees, terminal facility fees, customs user and immigration fees, insurance surcharge and any other fees or surcharges applicable to free award tickets.
- Award travels are subject to special limitations on seating availability on Delta Air Lines flights.
- Each award ticket is valid for one year from the date of issuance and good for a round-trip travel between two cities operated by Delta Air Lines using the most direct route in agreed specific geographic points.
- Each free award travel is allowed only one open-jaw or one en-route stopover per roundtrip journey at eligible city on the fare quote routine within eligible regions.
* Open-jaw travel is defined as traveling to one destination from a point of origin and returning from another city to the same point of origin, or vice versa. Both flight segments must be of a greater distance than the non-flight (open-jaw) segment. All the points on the ticket should be covered by the same award mileage level/region.
* An en-route stopover is defined as a planned break in travel along a valid routing between passenger's point of origin and destination city or vice versa. Connecting flight should be within 4 hours; otherwise, Delta Air Lines will deem it as a stopover point.
- The endorsement of the free award tickets of Delta Air Lines flights to any other carriers requested by DFP members will not be permitted. The passenger name on the free award ticket may not be changed once the award ticket is issued.
- After the issuance of a free award ticket, the award flight may be changed for a different date. The new flight should be subject to Delta Air Lines' seat limitations and the original expiry date of the award ticket.
- Reroute and refund of the free award tickets:
- * Refunding or rerouting of the free award ticket is not permitted after the commencement of free award travel.
* A route change for an unused free award ticket is permitted. The new ticket will be subject to the expiry date of the original award ticket. The new route must be the same level of mileage requirement as the original ticket.
* All China Airlines reroute/refund rules and procedures apply. Please refer toPoints to Note of Ticket Award.
- In the event of a Delta Air Lines current day or advance flight cancellation, Delta Air Lines agrees to re-accommodate DFP member's free award travel on another Delta Air Lines' flight. In the case of any such cancellation, Delta Air Lines will not be liable for any damages or expenses sustained by DFP members.
- Award travels on Delta Air Lines flights may not be sold, bartered or purchased. Any award obtained in this manner will be void. If a person other than the person named on the award attempts to use the award, it will be void and travel will be denied.
- DFP members failing to comply with Sky Miles rules of award travel may be denied for boarding.
