Qualification :
Gold Members can become Emerald Members after fulfilling one of the following requirements on applicable flights within a 12-month period:

1. Accumulate 110,000 miles, including four full fare flights in First Class or Dynasty Class; or

2. Flying 40 First Class or Dynasty Class scheduled flights with full fare ticket within the same period.
3. Only mileage or trip counts earned from China Airlines’ applicable flights are counted toward membership advancement and renewal. Following conditions are excluded from these qualifications:
(1)First Class or Business Class taken by using discounted tickets or free tickets.
  (2)Trip counts of Business Class taken by using C class upgrade.
  (3)Flights and mileage earned from co-share flights with other carriers.
  *. A flight with actual mileage of less than 500 miles is calculated as half a flight.

Validity Period :
  • Two years

Emerald Membership Renewal :
  • Reach the qualification of the same membership advancement within the 24-month (2-year) term.
*. If due to an unforeseen circumstance, the new membership card is not received, the validity of original card will be extended by another month.
*. If the renewal requirement is not reached, an Emerald Member will automatically revert to Gold Member. The card number will remain unchanged.
