November 14, 2002, Taipei, Taiwan – China Airlines will operate three chartered cargo flights to ship the annual Beaujolais Nouveau from Luxembourg and Amsterdam to Japan on November 14.
Around 10,000 bottles or 330 tons of Beaujolais Nouveau will be shipped by China Airlines. The first B747-400F charter will depart Luxembourg on November 14 to Tokyo, with a brief stopover in Taipei. Strict temperature control will be observed to preserve the freshness of the new wine. The other two charter flights will depart from Luxembourg and Amsterdam on November 15, respectively.
China Airlines, home base in Taiwan, now carries a fleet of 55 aircraft, including 41 passenger jets and 14 freighters, and flies to 40 destinations in 20 nations. The average age of its fleet is 5.7 years. China Airlines ranks 8 in terms of cargo operation in the world. |
